Maybe my comment was a little strong. I'm just really getting bored with these tight theme sets. As we have seen, and continue to see, a lot of the figures in these sets are redundant. In addition to the conversation we had the other day about NECA creating a false sense that the game is exploding with the premature sell outs of DC 75th and GSX, I'm not excited in the least that they are going with colossals, yet again, in Galactic Guardians. DC is also getting the shaft next year in regards to sets and doing the individual boosters. I'm just hoping Galactic Guardians and Might Avengers will provide a little more flavor in their sets. I'm a Marvel guy, but this is the first time I've ever considered getting less than a case for a set then hitting the secondary market.
It's getting harder and harder to not be a downer with a lot of the product coming out and the direction that Wizkids is going.
I like the direction their going?..... I Am in love with how they are doing sets, Just not any sets I care about yet.(Sups is icky and Hulk is not my thing). The waves of product keep the game fresh, next summr when i have extra cash guess what im gonna do? go back and buy LOTR/Hulk stuff. All these new propertys has brought of new players in the game around here. im going to a Halo sealed this weekend.

Mighty Avengers and Galactic Guardians are pretty much GUARANTEED to offer more variety.
As for the specialty sets, this is likely the ONLY Hulk set I'll ever get! Let me have it!
Longest-Reigning Drunken HeroClix Champion - anyone got a liver?

And for the Hulk fans, this is probably going to be a great time. I'm not going to take a dump on your fun by any means. I just hope Hulk performs better than CA or SM. I know that both CA and SM under-performed at my venue and two venues in Minneapolis/St. Paul. Not sure if that is an anomaly or the norm right now.

I know we talked about the colossals thing before, but I don't recall that I ever really got a good understanding of why it is that you disliked them so much.

Interesting. The Heroclix.com website has a Mage Knight banner that says it is being released in November. Didn't know that.
Interesting. I didn't either.

Underperformed in what sense? In sales?

1. They aren't fun to play with/against.
2. They are a pain in the butt to bring to a tournament.
3. More often than not they aren't practical to put on a team.
4. They usually aren't balanced. Either they are too good or not good enough for their points. That's often the case with 400+ point figures. This point doesn't cover all of them, but it does cover many.
5. Putting a super booster in a brick means fewer figures to pull from a single brick purchase. Also, wasn't the price of a single Super Booster for GG going to be $38-$45?

Yes. The three venues I've visited have too much product and can't move it due to a lack of interest from their consumer base.
The repaints bug me. They make the sets seem repetitive. If they want to use repaints, why don't they space them out? Give us Lyra now and then Thundra in Galactic Guardians. Give us John Jameson now and Rick Jones in Mighty Avengers. If they planned these things out better, it wouldn't feel like the sets were bogged down with reused sculpts and repetitive figures so much.

I sincerely hope this isn't the case. Not even a REMOTELY justifiable purchase for me.
I dont think the price change is relfected in the case/brick buy. (no news yet and thats open info ) also thats msrp... so they will be in the ball park of 28$ online/good stores.
