I don't know ... do I? I'm really hoping it's going to be good. I loved book 1, I'm just a little into book 2. There are some things from book 1 that I'm really looking forward to seeing and hope they pull it off. If you've seen it and are panning it, I'm not sure I want to read before I've seen it. I'm going no matter what as my daughters really want to see it as well.

My thoughts on Hunger Games:

Read it anyway hail. Good article. My daughter read The Uglies for school and liked it. I didn't discuss it with her much though, which is odd. I usually discuss all their books with them. Sometimes I find something I end up wanting to read and really enjoy, like Hunger Games.

Here's a trailer for Dark Shadows. It's Tim Burton and Johnny Depp which is awesome. Daughters are itching to see this one. Looks very fun. I'm just so surprised I hadn't heard anything about it.

Oh, absolutely no spoilers included. It's more of an essay exploring the intersection of dystopian literature and young adult fiction. Frankly, given the teen experience of high drama and the feeling that the world is ending after the most seemingly insignificant social interaction (making protagonists who are facing *actual* drama because the world really is ending eminently relatable), I'm surprised that the genre hasn't boomed before now.

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about Prometheus. Love the Alien movies so I'm really happy there's something new in the story. A sneak peak.
