Which Wild Wild West is more embarrassing, the quaint camp one from the sixties, that invented Steampunk, or the Will Smith one, that finally got some studio exec his giant robot spider?
Oh, and to you challenge, I have a few:
Whose car did Mel Blanc voice?
Ever meet somebody and be reminded of Eddie Haskell? If so, what would that imply?
(Paraphrased) "My one chance at an Oscar and you blow it for me." Who?
What's the Big W?
I didn't say I Robot is forgettable. I just had no desire to watch it.
Whose car did Mel Blanc voice?
I'd say Speed Buggy, but I don't think Blanc ever worked for Hanna Barbara.
Ever meet somebody and be reminded of Eddie Haskell? If so, what would that imply?
Yes. To me, it implies that they are an insufferable kiss-up.
(Paraphrased) "My one chance at an Oscar and you blow it for me." Who?
What's the Big W?
You got me on these last two, although, I'm tempted to say "You really REALLY like me!" on the Oscar one, just because I love to reference that.
"Can you come up with a question where, "The Will Smith version" is an accurate response to a question? "
Which I Robot is forgettable? The Will Smith version.
Trust me, that's an accurate statement. I watched it, enjoyed it as fluff, recall almost nothing about it now.
These two stump me.
You got Eddie Haskell right (although I'd add that you also have to be a devious jerk, who's kissing up to cover that fact).
I'll lave the other 3 for people to guess at.
I get it now. I laughed audibly. You and 'Mute are making my otherwise rotten day enjoyable.
I'm thinking you were talking about Penelope Pitstop. (THAT's a porn name waiting to happen.) But it turns out that Mel Blanc WAS Speed Buggy and he DID do a bunch of HB stuff.
He and Tex Avery get all manner of respect from me. Geniuses.
I asked her why she laughed. She shrugged. I asked if she knew who Grace Jones was. She shrugged.
It dawned on me then that her mother probably had no idea who Grace Jones was.
What do you all think is the minimum mean age for getting jokes about Grace Jones?
Other celebrities I make jokes about that no one gets:
Joey Buttafuco
Amy Fisher
Nancy Kerrigan
Lawrence Welk (as proven by this thread)
Fernando Lamas
Mr. T
The Lone Ranger
Lenny Bruce
Buckwheat
Anyone want to challenge me with an old reference?
I'm guessing the minimum age is grater than 28, cause I hav eno idea who the heck that is.
I do recognize Nancy Kerrigan, Mr. T, The Lone Ranger, and Buckwheat, though. And all I know about Lenny Bruce is that it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes, an aeroplane, and he's not afraid.

Thanks twice for the ridiculous amount of hilarity I found in the whole thing.
And the answer to any question like that is "NOT the Will Smith version"!
Can you come up with a question where, "The Will Smith version" is an accurate response to a question?
I was actually watching Men In Black 3 only about an hour ago, and thinking how much I enjoyed those movies.
I think "the Will Smith version" is an accurate answer to a lot of questions.

OK, got me on a technicality, but I was referring to something far older than Speed Buggy or Penelope Pitstop. And not animation.
Mel Blanc was the voice of Speed Buggy, but I guess it has something to do with Jack Benny, they were friends and Blanc worked on Benny's old radio show.
Some of the Benny stuff is funny. I remember listening to some of it on cassette riding in the truck with my grand parents in the early 80's.
