I'm thinking of doing a Lord Of The Rings marathon Friday night.

Let's see...if I start at sunset (8pm):
8pm-11pm: Fellowship
11pm-1am: Two Towers
1am-4:30am: Return

So the only challenge is...can I actually stay awake that late.

Go balls to the wall and do both Hobbit and LotR trilogies, but do them in that alternate "ideal" order people use for Star Wars.

One does not simply stay awake through all 17 endings of Return of the King. I don't think I made it through all of them in the theater.

Call the damn Eagles, have one fly you from Hobbiton. Drop ring in the damn volcano. Game over, mother ####ers. Save lots of lives and millions of wasted man hours.

There is absolutely no way I am going to watch the "Hobbit" movies. I will take the not-so-controversial position that all of the changes they made to the books suck, and all of the changes that the LOTR movies made to the books are fine (except for Legolas riding a shield).

The Hobbit movies pretty much took everything that was mildly annoying about the LotR movies and cranked it up to eleven...you're better off not watching any of them. Except maybe the first, it wasn't AS bad.
