Your post brings up an interesting topic, re-watching things
My wife and I rarely re-watch movies or TV shows, but here is a list of movies that I can re-watch in no particular order
Star Wars - Any of them really, but Rogue One and ESP especially.
Top Gun
Red Dawn
Gladiator
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Shawshank Redemption
Clue
Caddyshack
Captain America - The Winter Soldier
I'm sorry. I can't stand Top Gun.
I didn't see it back in the day. I watched it with The Girl in the first couple of years we were together and I was blown away. I couldn't believe that the film had ever been such a big deal. I can't think of a good example of a movie that I like that is basically a Playboy Magazine but I got the distinct impression that I was watching that for people who like seeing men portrayed that way. Also, the dialogue is just as uncomfortable for me.
I like your list of rewatchables otherwise. I've never seen Clue although it's been repeatedly suggested by people whose opinions I value like yourself.
Though I dislike Cruise an order of magnitude more for the Scientology stuff.
I'm conflicted on the Scientology. Having raised my hand and swore to defend the U S Constitution against all enemies, I take the First Amendment very seriously. I also try hard to respect everyone's religious beliefs whether I not I share them. Scientology doesn't make that easy, so I must admit that it plays into my dislike of him, but I have just never been comfortable with him when he's on screen.
I'm a bit bothered by your information on Jeff Goldblum. I've never liked him on screen, but always figured he was a likable person.
But I always really liked Bill Cosby (even though I never liked The Cosby Show) so what do I know?
I rewatch far far less than I used to. These days, a lot of it is rewatching things to introduce the kids to something. Most recent example, Fantasia. Hunt for Red October happened not too long ago, too. And the kids will want to rewatch as well, so I will often do that.
I don't rewatch MCU movies much. Did a lot in the run-up to IW to get the kids up to speed. That sorta burnt me out for a while. Since then I have rewatched Black Panther and Winter Soldier, which to me are head and shoulders above the rest.
My weirdest rewatch movie in the last couple of years is Hail, Ceasar. often when I am looking for samething to put on that I've already seen, I'll choose it. It got a very lukewarm reception, but like Lebowski I think it becomes more experience than movie over time. And I really like that experience.
Re: Jeff Goldblum, irl he's supposedly something of a womanizing #######. I can watch him in anything though. Recently saw Jurassic Park with the kids (a movie which doesn't really move me) and he's fun in that.
That's interesting to hear about Goldblum, since he's basically a local hero around here. He recently recorded some stuff for the Carnegie Science Center, and there's even a Jeff Goldblum day in Pittsburgh.
I can't decide if I think my Goldblum-obsessed friend would be disappointed with that info, or if she would just take it to mean her chance of scoring with him is better than she thought.

You should give it a try. I made my kids watch it about 3 weeks ago, my 13 yo daughter almost revolted because she would hate it, I told her tough we were watching it. It only took about 15 minutes for her to change her mind, she loved it and has re-watched it a couple of times now. (Same thing with Scrooged last Christmas) It has a great cast and so many great one liners.

Fear not, it is a cult not a religion.
Though to be frank, I am very much against the "Organized" part of organized religion, I think you should be able to believer whatever you wish, just keep it between yourself and whatever Higher Power(s).

Yikes!
Well, since that's not my goal with Goldblum, I guess it's cool if that's what she's after.

We ended up watching Clue because it came up in here.
I regret to inform you that there will not be a rewatch. It had some elements that I would have liked, but not enough.
Although my comedic meter may be off since we have been watching Marx Brothers films recently.
Yeah, my issue with Scientology isn't belief based. If you scrub all belief systems down, they are all technically wacky.
The original topic was waffles, which can be a very religious experience. This thread was doomed from the start.
Religious or spiritual?
I agree that waffles, like many culinary experiences can be spiritual, but I don't know of The Church Of Waffles, although I bet it would be well attended. Communion wafers with syrup doesn't sound like a good idea, though.
With some crumbled pecans, fresh blueberries, butter, and some pseudo-maple syrup. Damn. Now I have a hunger that needs to wait until the morning to be satisfied.
