She is, we do note, less effective against infantry, but the AoD ruleset isn't very forgiving to infantry, so it's less of a problem.
When using BR/Malvina in a 600 pointer, always bring the trusty Jaguar/Petros/Anti-Pesonnel mech to support her. Its very good at keeping pesky infantry off Black Rose. :classic:

The Jag/AnP/anybody is good at making everything on the board go 'is that thing in my rear arc?'
Do you guys realize how much pain it will be when Firepower is retired? No Jag, no Goshawk, no Zeus, no Black Rose. Forget losing Falcon's Prey, Firepower is the set we fear to lose.
Hopefully we'll have some peices to conter that but only time will tell.
If my estimations are correct (large if, I know) that'll be January, 2007. Firepower and Falcon's Prey will both retire at that time. That'd leave only AoD mechs (Blade, Mongoose, Hatchetman, Uziel, Ursa), none of which qualify as power pieces under anyone's definition (and only the Hatchetman has jump jets). If they did intend a CJF reboot, that'd be the time.
Odds are I am probably the last one to get this but has anyone else noticed that of the Gunslingers previewed so far there are 2 of each with different abilites  Selene is the only one with out a clone.. atleast not yet anyway.
That's been covered on the WK foums, by Kevin G himself.
Jules, in either incarnation, is looking to be a promising buy into the GHK at 19 points - could be worse!
That said, I actually like the Nightstalker - I figure it'd run beautifully with some JGR back-up... or stuff the subtlety and go to guns with a Zeus! :p
450 points exactly . I figure, put the shamash and saxon (fenrir loaded) in formation. Move them up the field accodingly and prepare em for ram/bases, move the goshawk, but keep him back for the MDFA, sylph for cleanup, and the sniper for 3" drop POG HEYYYYO!
Single artillery isn't going to have much luck - a second would boost your chances of damage significantly. You forgot to list the Fenrir BA ;) , but when we get down to it, I reckon you are actually better to drop the Sniper and take more up close stuff - this really is a "base and pelt" army - I'd almost be tempted to work it into a 3 mech force - GHK + 2JGRs... :ermm:
USUALLY, when I put 1 artillery piece in. Its main concern, is to keep people moving. Adapting to the people I play at one of my venues, they use assault mechs like its 1999. So 1 pog, keeps +1 defense to me, and +1 heat for them. Sorry about missing the fenrir, since my previous discussion on this thread regarding "why, the fenrir," I assume its expected :) Thanks for your input though.
Please explain how placing a pog gives you +1 to your defense, and +1 heat to the enemy. :nervous:
Thanks

The basic reason is 'if you stand there my pog hits'. The objective is to force them out of their spot and make them use an assault order instead of a ranged combat order. An assault order gives you +1 DV and gives them +1 heat. Et voila.

See, I get the whole "make them move" thing, but for that, you may as well be using a Hadur FSV, since it's cheaper and can avoid close-in attention with greater ease. Sniper Artillery Pieces are for making things go "Splat" with a capital S... :devious:
