What is this thing about giraffe and riddles?

On an unrelated note - and I apologize to Kenney for this - but I opened the first of my Phoenix 5 Chases tonite. Sadly, not Cyclops but upon looking on the great job on the sculpt and looking over her dial she went from a character I didn't care much to get to being one I'm quite happy to have for the plastic storage boxes. Enough so I'm debating ordering a third and maybe fourth brick. (and yes I know I'm opening slow - I pace them out so the only real fun I get to have with them, which is the opening to see what I got, doesn't get wasted too fast. Though I should've opened the big boosters first so I'd know if I need more bricks, but it feels wrong to not save them for last.)

I just got done watching the remake of evil dead. I think I liked it better then the original. Does that make me a bad person?

Of course not. Just because Helen Keller couldn't describe the beauty of a painting it didn't make her bad. Same deal.

I dunno, I liked Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness a lot but Evil dead didn't really have Ash that made those other two movies and the remake didn't include him either, but the original evil dead was just a bunch of bad gore effects, I mean the only really scary part in it was the Tree scene near the beginning. I do admit that the film makers had some serious stones to get that film shot. But the Remake had a lot more scary moments, the Gorey parts were better and they included a similar tree scene that arguably was more visceral then the original one. I really thought the movie was going to be crap when I rented it but I was really pleasantly surprised.

I prefer the musical to the idea of the remake.

It's not actually a remake but a continuation. Plans are for another Evil Dead with Ash and then a third film coming up that brings together Ash and the girl from this one.

@Aranatta: The thing to remember about the first Evil Dead is it was done in a particular style of the time. Then Raimi decided he wanted to redo it his way, which is why Evil Dead 2 is actually basically a remake of the first but taking "milksop Ashley" and turning him in to Ash and from there the legend grew.

Was told the con exclusive heroclix are worth $70+ each. That's insane to me.

I got a set for free yesterday and trying to decide what to do with them. Sort of want to keep them, but I am poor and haven't played heroclix in months.

The Con LE's are going for good money and would be a source of income. Take a look at the sale threads. The lowest prices are in the $50 range (Obnoxio), the high in the $110 (Superman/WW).

How did you get a set for free? And with your current situation, selling some of them might not be a bad idea.

I need a replacement for zombie apocalypse any takers?

I happen to know someone who might buy a few...

I have yet to get a hold of a Bat-Mite. I can't afford one, though, so letting time go by and hoping that the prices will be better next year. Though I did read something about a rules change that nerfed his special powers - so maybe less people will want a Bat-Mite? Me, I just want the sculpt to go with my avvie...
