The style is part of my problem. It just looks weird. Bad weird. The acting is just YEESH. Maybe they were told to be "camp" or something, but just about none of it is working for me at all. I read at least some of the books over a decade ago. It was like Twilight Zone Film Noir and I enjoyed it a bit. I'm not some huge fan, but the movie just isn't working.

It's good to know that someone else out there is incurring fanboy anger by not being blown away by Avengers and saying it was the best superhero movie ever.

I didn't dislike it. But I still haven't bought it on DVD, and I doubt I ever will.

Well, to answer your yelling question - I enjoy it. I've read some of the comics, and I think the style of the movie really captures them. It's actiony and comic booky and different. It's a movie to just sit back with a bowl of popcorn and indulge. I think it's an acquired taste, sort of like beer. I'm looking forward to the sequel.
