As of now, I dont really see alot of potential for it in a competitive tournament. True, he may be good with Mefist...but how often will you see 2 particular tribute monsters on the field at the same time? There isn't much you can do with this type of tech...especially since it is only on your oppenent's side of the field.
I give Inferno Hammer a nay.
Waldo- I understand that you run Desrook Archfiend and Terrorking Archfiend in your fiend deck. (Desrook only in for Terrorking) And I was wondering if that is really necessary. I have been using 2 Terrorking Archfiends by themselvs and they have been working quite nicely. (Also have been using 3 Waboku, Cyber Jar, and the usual recursion to go along with the Terrorkings)
Now, this card for a start doesn’t look like it has many uses, but look again. First off, he is a fiend, which gives two advantages: Dark Ruler Assistance and Necro Food. Second off, he may not be your Summoned Skull or End of Anubis, but he has 2400, enough to tie up against the popular Jinzo. Third, his effect can be very helpful! With Sasuke Samurai or Mystic Swordsmen LV.2 or LV.4, you can take out multiple monsters. Imagine Inferno Hammer, Mystic Swordsmen LV.4 and Tsukuyomi as a team together! You could build a deck around it!
So, my point is to not under-estimate this card. If used in the right deck, this card can be killer! After all, we made some almost useless cards into powerhouses with the right combos! So, if you’re willing to try something new, build a deck around this guy and tell me how it does. NinjaDuelist, over and out ^_^
you have to play Last Will before you tribute the monster off to get the effect
with Mytic Tomatoe, i'd still kamikaze him after i play Last Will, you get a 2 for 1 trade off and can special summon both Dark Jeroid and Newdoria in 1 turn
Wait a second, I thought Last Will's effect will work whether or not you play it first, the only question is to whether you play it in Main Phase 1 or 2.
As for Inferno Hammer, if you don't use it with Mefist or Dark Ruler to help block effects and etc., you can also use him with Gilford to reset his effect on another monster, or you can just run him with Terrorking if you're like Waldo and are splashing him into your deck instead of making it a straight Archfiend. These are all just ideas, and yes, this card can screw over Reflect Bounder, thank you Konami.
Nope, you have to activate Last Will before the monster is sent from the field to the graveyard. -_-
My friend and I were playing around with Malice Doll of Demise and Ectoplasmer yesterday, and let me just say this: Malice Doll of Demise owns!!
I will say this, however, Mass Driver is much better than Ectoplasmer because you can tribute more than one Malice Doll (And we also incooperating alot of field swarming tactics such as scapegoat, troop dragon, etc.) The with card of safe return on the field, you draw a card whenever one comes back. So if you have 3 Malice Dolls you should be drwing 4 cards per turn. And if you have 3 Card of Safe Returns and 3 Malice Dolls, you will be drawing 10. (but we only ran 2 Card of Safe Returns) Summoner of Illusions works equally well, because of the Scapegoats. You can flip Sac a goat and pull either a Master of Oz or Fiend Skull Dragon (depending on the situation) the at the end phase sacing Master of Oz for 2100. We tried using Last Will, but it just didn't seem to fit into the deck, because the only monsters with 1500 or less atk that we were running (and were worth getting) were Magical Scientist and Cannon Soldier. But we still managed to use 1. One of the biggest problems in this deck is getting Malice Doll onto the field at the right time. There really isn't anything that can help there though. -_-
Also, if your oppenent is running Vampire Lord you're done for. I was playing my Zombie deck against him, and I usually had a Card of Safe Return out with a Vampire Lord and just kept sacing him for 1000. We didn't get time to try out some of the other cards that we wanted to try out (Soul Exchange, and give Barrel Behind the Door another shot) but we still have time to mess around with it, before my friend takes it to regionals. I should win the opening matches always; but you are going to have to side deck to something more stable afterwards due to your oppenent's m/t removal.

I'm a little unsure if you can do that. Yes Ectoplasmer would be an opponent's card but Ectoplasmer is tributing and tributing is not destroying. I thought Vampire Lord required it to be destroyed to use it's effect.
(gotta go to work. YGORealms was down all weekend, right?)

Well, Ninja touched on it above, but I was seeing some SERIOUS hammer time with Inferno Hammer and Tsukuyomi. Then you start a "pick 'em up, wack 'em down" chain. Give the Inferno Hammer a Big Bang Shot or another trample card and you're wreaking havoc yet once again. At this time would I swap it for anything in my deck? Probably not, Summoned Skull is just so nice and wicked, plus a little exta attack to boot. However, Inferno WOULD make a serious contender in my Eyes of Despair deck since the right eye is focusing on a sheer brutality assault.
P.S. Yup, the realms was down all weekend, there was a posting on the front page.

I'd sure love an inferno hammer :S
On topic again^_^
I was thinking of an archfiend deck that makes use of relinquished or Chaos monsters. Seeing as most of the tribute monsters I want are expensive, I thought heck, chaoas sorcerer or relinquished might be ok. I have yet to test them, but im eager^____^ And has anyone considered mirror wall for their fiend decks?
It makes up for the lack of power of archfiends(5*+)
and you dont HAVE to pay
I like to use Bark of Dark Ruler instead of Mirror Wall. Granted I do have to pay lifepoints at activation, but it is a little more flexible. I can use it when I attack with a fiend monster as well to give myself that little extra edge. If I need to reduce the opponents monster attack more than half, I have that capability built in to the Bark as well. And heck, its got that great look on the card to add to its fiendish uses.
I'd talk to Desolutionist or Dark Magic Ruler (I forget exactly whom at the moment) about usage of Relinquished, I know they really enjoy Relinky as well as TER and have more strategy around it.
But if i add on BoDR's cost on top of my archfiends, ill lose alot of life points with the first 4-5 turns
which is the sole reason why I chose MW over that card
Shoot! I should have seen that...I thought that since it was an oppenent's card effect that is causing you to tribute would do it....oh well guess not -_-
Dillie-O: Relinquished? TER? Huh? LOL I have no clue what you are talking about. LOL
That's a good point TF-Grimlock, but if you're running Archfiends, then you're probably running 2 or 3 Pandemonium's to offset the cost. Granted it's all in the luck of the draw, but with 2 or 3 (and you could even put a Terraforming in your deck to really help get the Pandemonium flowing), you should be okay. If you needed some extra support for Bark and Archfiends, you could throw in a pair of Life Abspobing Spell's. I run a pair with a pair of Ultimate Offerings and it keeps everything down to a minimal cost.

Its all about drawing luck I Suppose
I pack only 1 terraforming, because I feel that in the end, Im going to HAVE to pay for my archfiends.
Spell Absorbing life is one of the rarest commons i have ever seen
almost as close to as rare as Gogiga Gagagigo-_-
And how does spell absorbing life work
for all effects, or only for face down effects :ermm:
Life Absorbing Machine (sorry typo earlier) gives you back half of the Life Points you paid during your last turn. You can only apply it to cards/effects activated during your turn, so if you use Bark when your opponent attacks, you're out of luck. I have a decent chunk of them lying around if you're intersted in a potential trade.
It's effect stacks, so if you play 3 (which I have had active at one time) you're actually being paid to have your Archfiends out. This could come in handy with your Mirrow Wall too. Before the Advanced format, I was running Ultimate Offering, Imperial Order, Archfiends and a pair of Life Absorbing Machines to really wreak some havoc on my opponent. Since my current fiend deck has a lot of swarming built into it UO and LAM are a must for me.

Heh, I lost my LAM I was considering some :(
But hey! :)
and if you use LAM, why not pair it up with Solemn Judgement as well?
Hm... I have alot to consider
And i Dont have much to trade anymore
Except for ectoplasmer and some random warrior cards and crappy ultra rares like JMP red eyes
