For folks thinking of selling all or a bunch of clix, is it because the growth of the game is outpacing interest (if that makes sense)?
I just see things like team bases and whatnot and think, "Yeah, this is a good bowing out point."
That contributes, in the sense that trying to keep up with new mechanics like vehicles and whatever else just is no longer appealing and too much mental clutter. I used to be all about previews, but now I can't really muster up the desire to even go look at the dials.
The selling is more about clearing up the physical clutter than anything else. These things take up A LOT of space. I still haven't made any final decisions about what or how I want to sell, though.

I raised that point to one of the developers on Facebook when the team dials started to get previewed. He completely ignored what I was saying and basically just said that more rules are a good thing and keep games alive. He then had rabid fan boys at his side to tell me that I was wrong in that more rules does not make a game more difficult to learn.
And, I realised that I've been a little pushy about it lately, and trying to move a little too fast, so I've gotta back off a little, and just let this whole thing happen at its own speed.
This, right here. Knowing this, realizing this, indicates maturity. It's like the story of the man with two sacks of rice who wanted a third sack of rice. In trying to pick it up, he dropped his other sacks of rice, and wished he could have just been happy with what he had -- even more so when, five minutes later, someone came by and asked if he needed help carrying anything.
She likes me, but she's not really sure if she's ready to put a label on our relationship, and officially take it there.
She knows that its heading that way eventually, and she's OK with that, but with all the stuff she's been through with her family, she's learned to be very closed up with her emotions, and it's hard for her to open up with people and trust that they won't hurt her in the end.
So, we decided that we're just gonna carry on as we have been, but at least now I know what's going on in her head a little better.
Can't go wrong with that!

Yeah, I'm really grateful to both of you for giving me some advice.
I tried to talk about it with a couple guys around my age, and their advice was baaaaaad, seems all they think a relationship is is sex, and I don't agree with that mindset at all.
So, I know that a few on here are a little older and wiser and more experienced than myself, so it couldn't hurt to ask.
Thank you for putting that kindly.

Really? That does not make remote logical sense. I understand the new=fresh mantra, but more rules to a game already complicated enough to make my wife cringe? That's making it more difficult.
Adam is right about the physical clutter, this stuff takes up a lot of space. I was amazed how much room I had after selling a bunch of stuff.
Oh and TF, I'm having too much fun trolling that one thread with stupid inside jokes that are completely off-topic. To the point that I'm actually bummed I have to go home now and will be unable to post there for possibly the entire night.

HAH! The trolling, it is irresistible!

Good news - and now you are both on the same page so no need to overthink things or to stress out. You have done well, young padawan learner. All kidding aside, I really do believe that the key to a long-lasting relationship is communication. If you and your SO learn to talk through whatever complications arise, you will be able to overcome many obstacles that come up along the way. Keep the faith, Sky.

Alas, wisdom comes at a very high cost. Seriously, I have always subscribed to the school of hard knocks and have learned things the hard way. I have the scars to prove it, too. Glad to be able to help friends along an easier path.

You're very welcome. However, Sky, do give yourself much credit for being a good listener. Can't tell you how many people I have met that keep asking for advice, keep ignoring it, and then keep moaning about how their lives are so miserable. It's beyond frustrating to me when someone says that they want help but refuse to follow through with the help/advice that is given. I call that a lost cause and a tremendous waste of energy/effort for all involved.
So again, Sky - you have accomplished your own triumph, attained a greater measure of maturity, and are doing great as far as personal growth.
We're here for you whenever you need us, olde chum.

yeah, i don't get why they need to add a new mechanic in EVERY set.
it used to be once a year something new was added, now it's every 2 months.
