Why? Is Kurt Russell suffering under a Kuurth of some sort?
On the plus side, the FI sculpts and dials that I have seen are pretty awesome.
On the down side, getting a missing hammer and a FI booster full of TT cards is just.... oh geez. So much for the improvement of WK QC over the years. If that had been my booster, I would be mad as hell...
Yeah, what I ended up doing was printing out the special powers for his figures from the spoiler list we have here on Realms.
I did, however, offer to give him a replacement booster from another set he could use for his force.

The handling of the whole Fear Itself event is kind of disappointing at this stage of the game. But the characters are cool, so there's that.
I am just happy that I am not and never have been a completionist. It would be way too expensive to lay out all of the cash that it's gonna take to collect the full CURSR set - not to mention the prize LE's. What blows my mind is that this set has the potential to sell like gangbusters - and yet it's a very limited print run. I am not a Marvel fan, did not read Fear Itself, and yet I would have probably bought a brick of FI - had it been available via the usual channels of distribution. Just sayin...

Well, that's the best that you could do under the circumstances. It still sucks for the guy who didn't get his FI cards. It's not easy to replace the booster when you really don't have any product left to replace it. As a judge, I am sure that this was not the sort of thing that you enjoyed when you ran the event.

Believe me, nothing about running this event was very enjoyable. Though Kid Loki on Hel Wolf is pretty awesome, I have to say.
Man, I miss actually having WK support us. Hell, I remember having enough product for 40 players at the Mutations and Monsters prerelease I ran, back in the day. (We had 36 show.)

My venue's first Fear Itself tourney is this Saturday, here's hoping we got the required prize support. They did get two prize kits for the NML stuff, so that's a good sign.
HAWTness mafia is almost done. All I need to do is an opening write-up, then sending out roles. Hopefully I get to that this evening.
Did anyone see "Now You See Me" this past weekend? It looks fun and my wife and I were both intrigued. Just need a review or two.
Trying to write out my first complete detailed adventure for my Star Wars game instead of just bullet points and winging it. Definitely an interesting process. Now watch my players just ignore the whole thing, heh.
Is anyone else completed un-excited about Man of Steel? This is the first big comic book movie I seem to be feeling nothing for. And I *loved* Superman Returns.
But this one... blah.

I am, think it is really the only summer movie I am excited for. Granted haven't paid too much attention to all the summer movies. Feel it is a lame summer for movies this year IMHO. I am not even sure on Pacific Rim or not either, looks like a B movie with a blockbuster budget.

It's like, the more I see of it, the less I'm excited. Mainly because it appears...
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
Krypton didn't get destroyed???
Which kinda wipes out the point, to me.

My hatred of Superman is well known, but a couple reasons for still seeing this. First, it can't possibly be worse that "Superman Returns". Why did you like Superman Returns? Second, Christopher Nolan is producing. Given his track record, I have to believe it will be at least decent. Who knows, Michael Caine may even make an appearance.

I found Brandon Routh to be excellent in it, and the special effects were top notch. Loved the plane/stadium scene. I even liked Kevin Spacey totally hamming it up.
Even the kid was entertaining.
My only problems were the treatment of Kryptonite, under-utilizing Kal Penn... and horrible casting of Kate Bosworth.
*shrug* It's been a while since I've seen it, perhaps it wouldn't be a good now, but at the time, I ranked it up with Spider-Man and X2.
