Has anyone used black rose with shizuka?

Or how about Black Rose with Marc-Andre Leblanc. Both sound like good times.

My friends and I play with 'house' rules which allow the older Uniques and LEs to be piloted either by generic pilots (having to pay a point premium based on weight class) or faction specific pilots who have to pay points as if they are piloting their preferred 'mechs. The older units can also take either two gear, or a gear and pilot just like the post AoD mechs. While this does make for some fairly pimped out rides, it brings the older units back to the forefront and the higher point costs balance things out (mostly). That said, I am toying with putting Malvina into the Shone Roshak Shrike with Extended Range Ammo. 11 AV at 16" for 5 ArP is not what most expect out of a Falcon. :devious:

thats cool:devious: I posted a raptor + goshawk army a wile back, finaly got a chance to play it with a few changes:

-Raptor + JF pilot + IT
-Goshawk + Albeni
-R10 + Carnivore
-Yasha
-Salamanders*3

I faced kurita with a shiro, solitaire, tokugawa, cizin, DF marksmen. It went well even though i had some realy bad dice rolls, this is turning into my favourite army, just need to tweak it some more and get overcharger for the goshawk.

I finally got overcharger for my goshawk, just want to know does that mean its mdfa range is 18" if the card activates?

Yep - pretty good stuff isn't it? The Goshawk would get its speed of 10, plus 2 from a decent pilot and then a further 4 from the RISC gear (if it worked)making a 18 inch jump range from centre dot to centre dot. That's why this set up is so liked - it can MDFA on top of Seka from outside of her AO range.

Do look out for some pieces to swap out the Raptor and Abeni Zikhali can't recruit to CJF but if you can get hold of Tilman Peterson, he makes a great pilot. If you don't have Peterson, go for a +2 move pilot - the MDFA ability will make up for the lower AV.

You falcons and your zany MDFA ranges,I'm thinking we should be able to add a new" AA attack vs MDFA attack call"!:laugh: Have a chance to knock you turkeys out a bit while still in mid-flight!:devious:

thats only fair for our low defence values, besides just the fact that youre complaining makes me love them even more, always like the bad guys!:)

Yup - the LE Version (GS-027) was FAQ'd I'm afraid.

I have Yuudai Sasaki in my grubby hands, and he has a straight recruit cost of *2* added to his standard 46, so he might be a great addition for Black Rose as well.

I have been away fro a while, and I'm still laid up from a motorcycle accident, so if this has been raised as an option already, I apologize.

I raised this combo a little while ago, but no harm in great minds thinking alike. Besides, I think that we'll all let it go in light of your bike accident. Take care and have a safe and quick recovery.

@all - In the lull between combats, the Falcon has paused in the advance to take planets away from the Inner Sphere surats. However, the time has not been all rest, as I have just posted a new mod and two new repaints that have been added to the glorious Falcon touman. Comments always welcome. In addition, I have constructed a battlefield tabletop worthy of playing upon and have a new campaign getting ready to begin. This time, House Steiner comes calling to try and retake a world the Falcon took during the invasion of Skye.

In other news, the Falcon recently engaged the Bear in combat and prevailed with minimal losses to the Falcon side. The BEar's strategy was sound, but the Falcon was able to overcome the Bear's cunning and defeat him in battle. ooc - For a recent tournament it was just me and another friend of mine and he really wanted to try out the Bears and took their Battlemaster and a Karhu with a lot of infantry. I played a Vixen and champion Daishi with a Hadur arty and some infantry. I knew he would play infantry-heavy with at least one big Mech and we were fairly well-matched. I stayed in the water just right so he could not close combat my Mechs so he resorted to using his faction pride to add damage and attack with up to five guys in a formation. This made it easier for the arty to hit a clump. I concentrated on picking apart the formations. He was expectig a jumpy force and I played against that expectation, as well as avoiding the use of my usual units, like the Loki and Vulture and went with the Assault-class instead. He eventually downed the Daishi but I wiped him off the board.

Of course we do. We do not like to waste anything and certainly a good warrior who can be rehabilitated is an asset not to waste, quiaff?
