I may be opening a can of worms, but I'd love your guys' take on all the new rules updates being announced from on high lately. :P
Well I'm glad you asked! I am for the reduction of games from 82 to 72. That seems reasonable to me since the break in between seasons was so reduced. They need to protect the players, and this is a way of doing it.
They decided to keep the coach's challenge, and I am for that. I do think it needs to be amended to allow a team to keep a time-out if the challenge is successful.
The increase in roster size from 13 to 15 was needed, as who knows who may be ineligible due to Covid.
They're backing off on penalizing teams for resting their stars, so that they can potentially rest them on non-televised games if the game is a second game of a back-to-back. It's just such a grey area. On the one hand, you don't want anyone to get injured because of fatigue (especially the stars), on the other hand, what if a fan saved up all of their money and sunk all of their vacation time just to be able to go to this one game to see this one guy play live...and he's sitting? Really tough situation.
I'm not sure I'm a fan of the play-in for the playoffs. What if you were the potential 8th seed, and then one of your main guys has to sit a few days because of Covid...and so you lose a play-in game that really you should have never been in? It made sense in the bubble. It doesn't make sense to me in a real season. If they want everyone in the playoffs, then just open it up and let everyone in the playoffs.
It's time to check your answers. Please get your pens ready and mark an X when incorrect.
Heart - Singer - I knew Heart in the 80's and I never got the whole big blond hair thing.
Frozen Crown - guitarist - That hair just put me in a trance, I swear you just put an actual axe in her hand and she is pretty much a Frazetta painting.
Kittie - Guitarist - Back in high school she was a big crush of mine.
Wagakki Band - Bassist - There is definitely something about her and her stage presence that just gets me. I also really like how the fretboard inlays light up. Then about half a year later after watching video after video I take the opportunity to look up the band, turns out the bassist is trans. Doesn't matter, still my favorite.

Time to make you guys work. I want you to send me a list of your top 5 albums of all time. I hope to get some new listening material and a new appreciation for different bands in the process.
Just so you don't think I am a complete leech here is my list of top 5 albums that I don't think you have heard....
I'm not really a guy who pays attention what songs are together on what album. That's not how I consume music. I just kinda find a song and decide I like it.

95% of the games I play are modern age constructed or sealed and in tournament settings, either at the local, regional or national level. The rule changes don't bother me, I'll be glad to get 8-9 turns in 50 minutes, rather than 5-7. I'm not saying I like everything, but, all has not been revealed or finalized. I will play by the new rules, whatever they may be, and find ways to exploit new or existing pieces. My builds are focused on synergy, not comic accuracy. The dials, the raw stats, the powers, keyword interaction, etc. are what I care about most. The other 5% of the games I play are "casual" games on roll20 or 2 booster sealed home games.
I've only been playing since the summer 0f 2014, so, this will only be my third rule change. In my six and a half years of gaming, I've come to the follow conclusions. Wizkids either lacks quality Heroclix play testers or doesn't listen to their feedback. Allocation of SR's / Chases / Primes is inconsistent at best. On average, 1 figure per case will be broken, missing the card, dial, arm or head, etc. Heroclix can change the rules all they want, but, unless Wizkids spends money on advertising, the game won't grow.
Wishing for competitive Judge Dredd figures for Modern Age...WizKids are you listening?!?!
Would you consider best of/greatest hits type albums cheating for this purpose?
I'll take it. I can't be too picky. In fact the 5 albums I picked are the just top 5 that I am sure most of you have never listened to. My top 5 albums of all time are probably are probably something you have all listened to at some point.
Beatles - Rubber Soul, Metallica - Master of Puppets, and etc.
