I won some and sold them, so I liked them well enough.

Crazy day at work. The woman in the cube behind mine got taken to the hospital via ambulance. No official word on what happened, but she does have a history of stroke and seizure. Pretty surreal and shocking afternoon.

First item - I stopped by Best Buy today and found that Flash Gordon was on sale for $7.99 on Blu-ray. For that price, I could not turn down this sci-fi classic. It is now mine.

Second item - As I promised long ago, I finally got around to watching episodes of CW's Arrow. To be precise, I viewed eps 1,2, and 4 (since 3 was not available On Demand.) I must admit that the TV series is better than what I had first thought. It definitely capitalizes on Green Arrow's appearance on Smallville, with a darker and grittier twist. Although I prefer the guy who played GA on Smallville, I do see and admit the appeal of the new show, which feels to me more of a Batman-Lite than anything else. Will I continue to watch? Nope. Not unless I can watch the episodes that are missing, so it's gonna have to wait until it hits Netflix streaming. Oh well. All the same, I will state here and now that I stand corrected, STAN, and that the show is not as bad as I made it out to be all these months ago. That having been said, my favorite comics-related show of the past 3-4 years is still Human Target. I am so sorry that it got cancelled after 2 seasons. Let's hope that Arrow has a little more longevity than that.

There are a few good nods to the comic stuff that they haven't really ADDRESSED YET, BUT i'M SURE IT WILL POP UP. i WAS UPSET THEY DIDN'T CAST hARTLEY FOR THE GIG, BUT YOU DO GET USED TO IT. tHE TWO oLLIES ARE QUITE DIFFERENT AFTER ALL. I got called into work like 4 hours early yesterday. A customer saw me tromping through the snow on the way, and picked me up to take me in.

Two days ago, I was walking in, and a coworker I barely know picked me up and took me in.

Seems humanity is pretty generous right about now.
