Long read, but I found it interesting. Angry, yet I found it highly relatable.

I like it. Also seems to fit in with my general disdain for society in general.

I barely got by Lightening...I don't get the outrage, I mean I understand "Geek" isn't (He's using a lot of FPS and Magic players as examples...I never related to those people anyway) really geek anymore, but I don't lose sleep over it, I still enjoy the things I enjoy, hang out with those I enjoy hanging out with. Trying to spit into the wind isn't going to do anything.

I also have an issue with the Orwellian comparison, I don't think "geeks" have turned from pigs into humans, its what society has co-opted from "our culture" that makes it seem that some have transformed into the beautiful people. He's deluding himself if he truly thinks that Geeks run the world, there's still a social hierarchy involved, regardless of what happens to be popular in theaters.

Man, these Captcha's lately are f'n annoying.

I also enjoyed starting fires and blowing stuff up when I was younger. Anarchist Cookbook is some good stuff

I basically just watched what was on toonami.

tl;dr

People seem to take this sort of stuff too seriously. I personally don't waste my time on either putting labels on people or owning labels that are put on me. I enjoy my hobbies (whether they are classified as nerdy or not) and am more than happy to let other people enjoy theirs. I do think it's kind of silly when you get TV shows like "King of the Nerds", but I just chalk it up to the next trendy trend/marketing scheme whose sole aim is to get people to spend money. That's about it.
