My local venue had their AoU week one event Saturday. It was raining and I had store credit, so I played in it.

I got a bit annoyed when I found out we got one AoU booster and one Avengers Assemble booster, It made the entry fee cheaper but whatever.

I got less annoyed when I pulled King Thor.

I played King Thor at 300 in the tourney. went 2-1. won fellowship and got a Grandmaster. Had a good time.

I stuck around for a casual BR which ended up being a cluster#### .

So, Competitive play was fun, casual play sucked. Weird Heroclix day for yours truly.

I still work sporadically at the local comic shop, maybe twice a month or so, but I gave up heroclix tourneys late last year. Well, the owner is still as irresponsible as ever when it comes to organization and accountability. He didn't order the Age of Ultron SLOP (what a stupid acronym to go with) bricks, so the new guy will have to cancel/reschedule. I do not miss dealing with that every few weeks.

You are a brave man. 3 to 4 mm seems a bit small, even for Bud and CL, but they'll adapt somehow.
