I might play a one night game if I can ever get in on sign-ups, they always seem to occur when I'm most busy.
I keep my eye out for a theme I might be partial to.
I'm just busy, but I'm not completely out of sight.
Well, you can walk right?
So I went in at 7:30 last Thursday for surgery. It lasted 17 hours. It was successful. My doc thinks I'm a minor miracle. My pathology came back and it wasn't the original thought. It was a paraganglioma. It is is actually a more favorable diagnosis.
For now, I'm tired and just starting physical therapy. All my tubes are out. Only pain meds are Tylenol and oxycodone and the latter is low dose. Just gotta take it a day at a time.
Thanks for all your support. I figured a lucid update would be in order.

Great news man! Get well soon so we can murder you in a mafia game.
(Seriously, congrats)

Glad to hear it was good news! I know the tough stuff isn't necessarily all over, but it sounds like the scary/unknown part is. Looking forward to having you back around here whenever you feel up to it.

Yup, looks like great news indeed. Grats on more Days alive and well!

A bit more on me. I misspoke when I said all tubes were out. Darn catheter. I got transferred to the acute rehab unit late on Friday. The doc in charge took one look at my chart and did a basic strength test with me. He advocated hardcore to get me in. Apparently insurance was being ornery.
So I'm in rehab for awhile now. Don't know for how long. Right now it's just a case of my nerves and swelling calming down so that I get my tactile senses and balance back. My physical therapist thinks I'm way strong, just very uncoordinated right now.
Just trucking along. Hopefully I get my staples out soon. My wife counted 53.

Rehab is good news. You will feel way better and more mobile after you get the staples out, especially if you have a low pain threshold. Keep us in the loop man, a bunch of us are sending prayers and good wishes your way.

Where did you get the shiny? I don't think I've seen that finish.
My main flies an escort carrier.
I've got another Fed Cruiser beam boat captain that I'm going to transition to flying an escort carrier running beams instead of turrets/cannons.
My Romulan Pilot flies the romulan version of escorts.
Basically, I have the Breen deflectors and the Reman shield display. WITNESS ME BREEN-BAGS! WITNESS!!!
That's the Thrai old-school Dreadnought, btw, got it out of a lockbox. My TOS-Fed is using the T5 Cruiser they gave away for the 7th anniversary... which isn't quite bang enough to get me through some of the later scenarios. I might have to open a few lockboxes on her just to see if I can get lucky with a ship.
