I've been thinking about the injury rules for the same reasons vlad has. I like the flavor they add to our games, but I agree that being punished twice really sucks.
So here are some things I've thought that might let us keep injuries, but mitigate the effects.
Dropping the benched rule.
Instead of -1 to multiple stats, -1 to one stat.
Make injuries cumulative Injury in a second game causes penalty to increase by 1 or a new stat becomes -1.
New ways to get out of injuries: If a character heals anytime after the injury they are no longer injured; Spending XP to resolve injuries.
These are ideas and we can discuss some or all or none of them.
I like the bolded section. The spending xp I have done in role playing games and is cool but I don't know that I like that option here. Seems like a pay to play type deal. Someone gains xp really easily and they can just pay the small penalty to heal themselves seems too good. The healed at any time during the game gets rid of injury status could be interesting (maybe give us a reason to play more supporters now!) but I think would need some stipulations like if injured during the game, healing will remove injured status for next round or if injured coming into the match, healing will not remove injured status. Something like that to keep it reigned in a bit. Good ideas though Cap!

I could get behind doing some/all of that.
It would keep the theme, but be much less debilitating.

Hey, New to this group, seems really cool is there a post I could look at to maybe get more info? Not sure how to get started in this game or how it works, thanks!

While some of this will be changing next season, it will give you a good idea of what we're about. Then I'd just peruse the threads in this subforum and look at the games to see how their played. We are currently about 2-3 weeks away from starting our next season, so stick around and participate in the conversation. Also, if you have specific questions after reading the first post ask right here.

With the abundance of low point figures and considering it's been 8 years since the last one was issued, I think it is time to do away with Feats.
There's a new rules set, and WK doesn't support them anymore. For the most part, there are plenty of other upgrade options.
WK is moving to a streamlined, simpler game, and we should too.

I'm definitely not a fan of getting rid of Feats, but I can understand the argument that Feats just clutter up the game. I think Feats enhance the play experience and definitely make less playable figures more playable.
I will say that if we get rid of feats, we should think about taking the reins off of Objects and Resources and Possessors. Requiring theme for resources, and complete unrestricting objects and possessors. Then I would have no problem dropping feats.

I would be for this if we removed thematic restrictions on objects. The fact that anyone with asgardians/thor/worthy/etc has access to like 30 objects nobody else can access would really limit someone's ability to compete without the added benefit of feats. Otherwise, I think feats should go the way of the dodo. Problem is, do those figures that upgraded to feats get their xp back?

If we got rid of feats, we would let those with feats get a new upgrade.
Also, not all of the new objects will be restricted. Many of the objects are relatively generic.
I don't know if we'll get it, but I'm hoping the Past Rules doc will change some of the old Relics to Equipment.

In practice, they're only used to make already great characters broken. How often do you see anything other than not so special, protected, or contingency plan? Besides maneuver on all of Mighty Q's teams

I can only speak for me, but I use more than those feats, but it can be frustrating to face some of those. My experience the last few seasons is that feats are more rare.

Something to throw out as a League Rule discussion which comes up every once in a while: Playoff advantage
Playoff teams get to keep an extra character (cool bonus, IMO). But there's typically some discussion about playoff teams having additional opportunities to earn stats and RP, so the strongest teams have a further advantage at the start of the next season that non-playoff teams don't have. Is it worth limiting/restricting this in some way?

I wouldn't mind stop collecting stats during Playoffs. It'd be one less thing to worry about.

Fantasy Football stops at the playoffs for that reason, anyone who's players aren't in the playoff wouldn't get points like those who do continue to get them
