Opened some standards after the regular store rolled.
Got my KraVan up to a 3* and my SP//DR up to 4*.

Then I got 5* Wong from the Gauntlet!

Yes, it is.

I've been saving 3* shards, getting each toon to 3900 so I can champ them when they are maxed. Anything above that goes to maxing the "crop".

I'm thinking of changing that threshold to 4200. For not that much more, I would get a legendary when the seed was redeemed.

Thoughts?

It does nothing to change the actual time that LL would arrive, but mentally it would be different.

Makes sense but my thinking is a bit different. I figure I will start a new crop when I pull the cover and then use the 3900 shards to get to where you are suggesting.

The 4200 shards just guarantees a quick LL so you don;t have to wait on a 3* cover to pull.

There are 47 3* toons in the game.
I know for me I have 94 roster slots dedicated to just 3*s. I keep one full set at max, then the moment the second one hits I sell it and rerecruit and have it champed instantly.
Waiting for a cover would be more hassle than anything, imo.

Obviously if one doesn’t have the slots dedicated than this method doesn’t work so well.

This works for me. WIth my first crop, I wanted to see if I could get 3 versions of 3*s max champed before any selling (spoiler - I could, and it was beautiful to scroll through the 3*s with one maxed toon on each row)

Phant, you determined that the support specific tokens do not change, right?
So, if I hang onto one for Wong, it will not change to the next featured support in the next gauntlet.

I got the five star on my first pool, so I haven't opened the next one that I got. With everything being long there's nothing for me to get out of there but red ISO.

It would be nice if I can hang on to it and it switched over to the next one.

I did not actually find this puzzle Gauntlet very enjoyable. I only did the one clear of everything in order to get the tokens. It's not worth it for me to go back just to get all the red ISO.

Because the team for each node of a gauntlet is (typically) so far off of what I usually look at, I will typically play each node to completion before moving on to the next. Less needing to remember "who I use for what".

I agree. The tug-of-war concept is ok and I'd like to see it come back, but maybe as one of the nodes in the PG, not all of them.

The specific Wong tokens only work for the Wong Vault that can be retrieved under the 'recruit' tab and no other future vaults. The only tokens that carry over are the ones named "Puzzle Gauntlet" and can be retrieved under the 'vaults' tab.

I enjoyed the idea of this gauntlet however each round took forever. I earned 2 Wong tokens and upgraded to a 4 and was OK with that. I didn't even do max progression or anything.
