I already know about the Wall. I never knew about Revolution Radio and a lot of GD's later releases. It was a solid listen, some big songs some good songs but there didn't seem to be any filler. Green Day seems pretty solid when it comes to a good album.
Bon Jovi was just too boring for me I got through at least 8 songs and then I just had to stop it. No song stuck out to me and I noticed more the religious undertones of the words BJ uses.
I have never heard a full MCR album before but I really liked it. Maybe it was because I needed to wash out the taste of Bon Jovi out of my mouth (notice I did NOT abbreviate it that time!)

I tried listening to MCR Danger Days, and got about halfway through and then stopped. I know my youngest son was a big fan of theirs years ago (even got the cool Beatles style jacket), and Destructo likes them, so I gave it a shot. It's just too poppy/punky for me. I'm glad that you guys are enjoying them, though.

lmao, yeah, the Bon Jovi album is cheesy as all hell but for some reason I really love that album, along with a lot of the other albums they did after they changed their sound to avoid the death of hair metal. (It does *not* help that I’ve ended up associating multiple songs of theirs with ex-girlfriends )
After thinking about the question some more, though, I’d probably swap Bon Jovi and The Wall in my top 5 for Cage the Elephant’s first album and Nirvana’s Nevermind.
So, my 5 favorite albums of all time. That's tough. Tastes change. I think I'll go with these, as I think they're solid 100% through - not a weak song on the album. Also, you've probably heard them all.
Iron Maiden - Live After Death
I think a live album is kinda cheating, but the choice of songs, their execution, the production values, every moment on this album is pure gold. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFTDfPMpls0
The Cult - Sonic Temple
I love every song on this album. I listened to it so much that even my kids are fans of this band (and love to sing along to Sweet Soul Sister). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dH1q..._V_-eXj0ufQf8g
Guns N Roses - Appetite for Destruction
This is now a love/hate album for me. I have listened to every song on here so much in my life, that I'm at the point that I don't really want to hear them again. However, they are really, really good. This is seriously one of the best albums ever created because of how many great songs are on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CNP...HcvnsO2ek1nlJl
The Crystal Method - Tweekend
All 10 songs are fantastic. How can anyone come up with 10 great songs at roughly the same time? Unlike Appetite, I can still listen to this over and over and over and over and over. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Za4...dwuFY-&index=3
Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
Solid concept album with great songs. Not all songs are spectacular, but they fit the overall theme well, and advance the story. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYlV...VtI0j4mrnovxFV
The only album I have not heard off this list is the Crystal Method album. It is good excellent background music but I think that just really goes with that electronic music for me. Other bands that are excellent background music, Skinny Puppy, Kraftwerk, and so many of those Rammstein-like bands. Oh yes also those MF Doom Special Herbs/Blends albums.
The other albums on that list are always on rotation in my car except GNR. I got burnt out of GNR's hits from Appetite because they are on heavy rotation for the rock stations in my area.

It appears that we are on the same page with AFD. On the one hand, it had so many great songs that they all came out as singles or were just played on the radio anyway because they're awesome. On the other hand, we've heard them all a million times.
For TCM, I agree they make wonderful background music. For me, they also make foreground music, dancing music, and stealing music. They do such a great job in designing their songs, that I often find ways to rip them off when making my own songs.
I can understand not liking a genre such as Christian Rock, but if you can, listen to some of the DC Talk and judge it just on the music. If you do, let me know what you think.
