Thanks for the links, fellas. You want to read something funny that is a quote from Dan Didio, a few years back?
DC Senior Vice President Dan DiDio comments, "Some stories... are so strong that undoing them would be a crime. The DCU would be a lesser place without [former Flash Barry Allen]'s sacrifice, or the crippling of Barbara at the hands of the Joker."
"I have deprived your ship of power, and when I swing around, I mean to deprive you of your life. But I wanted you to know who it was who had beaten you."

Because it's why I'm a comic book fan. If I wanted simple stories that didn't impact anything after it was done, I'd read novels.
They do have novel series. But yeah, continuity is one thing that distinguishes comics from novels. I hated reading novels in school, liking one particular character, and saying to myself, "Well, sucks I'll never see them again."
Mack from Cannery Row and Sweet Thursday
Holden Caulfield from Catcher in the Rye
Iago from Othello(yes, it's a play)
All awesome characters that are confined to one story. Whereas with comics, Wolverine, Iron Man, Spidey, etc... seem to have at least a cameo in the majority of the company's stories.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. The Birds are totally different. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Well, there is a Birds of Prey #1 in the works.
I wonder if the reboot includes the addition of Chloe Sullivan, aka Watchtower, to the BoP. That would be an interesting twist. Retconning Oracle, on the other hand.....

I don't know...maybe it makes me sexist but I am finding the new "Practical costumes only. No cheesecake" editorial mandate pretty hilarious for some reason.
(Ergo, Diana's new look, Wonder Woman now wearing leggings and Poison Ivy back to wearing, well, clothes. ).
I mean this is Jim "I decided Psylocke worked better as a swimsuit-wearing ninja and Rogue was awesome in tattered Savage Land clothes that didn't cover anything" Lee in charge of outfits.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

Carlos was right. This is DC's "Heroes Reborn" reboot, like Marvel did after the whole shebang with Onslaught. And look how long that lasted. (BTW, Jim Lee was on board for that train wreck as well....)
