My wife took care of all of our decorations earlier in the week. She "wanted her living room back."
Which was fine with me. It means that I didn't have to do it, and it left this weekend open for things like watching Captain America. Which I just did. LOVED IT!
Nice!
LOVE that movie. And yeah, I'm biased...but I still love it.

I hadn't seen it yet. I still think I like Thor better, but you know, biases run strong around here.
Still gotta watch X-Men:First Class that Brad got me for my birthday. And eventually get around to Green Lantern. But I'm in no hurry on that last one.
Wow. That's pretty darn good. I've lost track -- is this all you're shy for the formal, complete set, or all you're missing from the list of pieces you want from the set?
He's all I need for everything HeroClix. I had one just a week ago and I mistakenly thought I had an extra one, so I tossed mine in as an extra in a trade with someone only to realize I didn't have an extra!!! What a dummy I am...

Absolutely! Nothing wrong with having favorites. heh
Loved X-Men, haven't seen GL...no hurry for me either.
I've burned through this day at a frightening pace without a great deal accomplished... yet I'm finding myself very tired. Tonight's the last of the vacation nights -- by this time tomorrow I'll be looking at the clock mindful of when I have to get up and out the door the next morning.
Surely, this must mean I should have ice cream. Yes, K-ness' brain has assured me this is the proper course of action.

Okay boys and girls. I have finished all my artwork prep for the LotR Print and Play Horde Token project. I have my prices together and this is how it's shaking out.
One full set of tokens will consist of:
8 Orcs
4 Uruk-Hai
4 Warg Riders
6 Riders of Rohan
4 Ithilien Rangers
4 Haldir's Archers
4 Eagle
6 Ent
4 Dead Man of Dunharrow
4 Mumakil
4 Orc Catapult
4 Mountain Troll
That's 56 tokens. There are a few extras in there above and beyond the M number, but in order to do things as efficiently as possible, I have to do them in even numbers.
For one full set of 52 tokens (plus one extra Eagle, Ent, Orc Catapult and Mountain Troll) I will be charging $25 + shipping.
$8 of that is non negotiable. I need $8 per set to cover my materials and tool costs. The other $17 can be paid for in cash or trades. But I will of course have final approval on all trade offers.
If I could be so bold, I have a couple of Heroclix stories to share:
- I have kind of been on a tear the past two weeks. It is a combination of having the right pieces along with the dice Gods being very kind to me. The first week was a 300 point sealed tournament where I pulled Black Bolt, who is just a monster in sealed. This week was a 400 point floor and I gave Wolverage a run. He is really good- especially when your dice are working. I thought the +4 AV/+2 healing would come up infrequently but it happened a lot more than I thought. My dice are running so hot that, in this same tournament, Gee KO'd both Superman and Joe Fixit! Of course, I did PC one of my critical misses into another critical miss and three games came down to an exciting last man standing but I feel it flowing through me right now!
- Also, there was a question on how we play our tourneys from one of the players just before the game started. When there is a bye to be had, the person who receives it automatically receives a win and 200 points. Since I've been really kind-of running things the past few weeks, I've been taking the first round bye. I figure there's a bit of a disadvantage since final seedings for the prize pool are determined by KO points. It also gives me a chance to roam the gameroom and help the first round go smoother for some of the newer players.
Well, we have one player who mentioned that he thought the bye was an advantage and possibly unfair. He meant no malice and was just stating his opinion- not a bad guy in any way! I mentioned that I felt differently, since it varies by round, and always switches to the player with the lowest points but I didn't want there to be any hard feelings so we decided that whomever picked number eleven would receive the first-round bye.
Lo and behold, he picked number eleven. Well, we went through the tournament and he faced me in the finals. He played an Intelligencia team (Leader, Red Hulk, Humanoids) that I was initially going to play but switched because I didn't want two of us playing the same team. We had already text about this before and I always bring two teams to keep the variety open. I ended up winning and, due to points, he ended up taking third. We had two Black Bolts on the table, I could have had one last week but passed, taking the Gamma Bomb first, thinking I would leave the two most wanted prizes for the others. There was no reason I had to pass this week.
As I was reflecting on the games of the day, I was thinking the extra 200 points he could have won in the first game may have placed him in second, winning him the coveted Skrulls Black Bolt.
I just figure that's pretty ironic.
Anyhoo, HAPPY NEW YEAR everybody!
The official method of scoring a bye is a win with 0 points, so your method is more advantageous to the player with the bye than the official rules. But I still would rather play and have a chance at full points than sit out and have a fixed 200 points.

Probably, but I can't fully commit to it yet.

Really? Shoot, we've always done it with the 1/2 points. I was figured the points were a way of keeping the field close, giving the lowest point player consistent points. I still like it better but am always a bit bothered when we do things the unofficial way.

I would be interested normally, and would have definitely spent the $25, but have just had a set printed for me from dkrmguy. Thanks for the offer anyway!
