Who here loves their swarm teams? I like playing tentpoles, but on Thursday I'm going to teach a new player the benefits of playing a swarm team instead of the same 250 point figure that he recently pulled. He assumes that because it is high points, that will make him win. I was thinking either Amazons or SHIELD. Other ideas?
Asgardians. If other people are running tentpoles then introduce them to Ulik.
coming soon : nu52 Hercules

Ever feel vindicated over a difficult customer? They are constantly a pain in the rear, with small petty issues that most of the time has to do with their ISP or Telco Equipment not mine, but we get called first because BellSouth is slow to respond.
Yesterday a large chemical company called and was having some communications trouble between plants, lets call the CBTG.
They have an internet connection between 2 local plants that connects their communications systems for a redundant backup in case of emergency.
Well both systems went down sometime over the holiday.
My techs were busy with other things so I drive over to take a look. After visiting both sites, I call the plant manager to meet me at the location I am at. I show him a WIFI router plugged into the system we installed. I tell him that there is one just like it at the other plant. Since they were plugged into between my router and the internet connection and it was not configured, just left as default it brought their entire communications system down. While he is in there I unplug it and that side comes back up.
We drive over to the other plant and unplug that WIFI router as well, and the whole sytem comes back up.
They had been installed to allow unfiltered WIFI internet access by bypassing the companies internal network.
The plant manager then calls in the IT and Maint Supervisors. He asks who worked over the weekend that has access to that room and only 1 man was working who had keys when the system went down. He got called on the radio to come to us, and was fired when he arrived.
I got to witness it all and still send them an invoice.
I don't think levelling will help up. The special missions are based on your level, instead of being fixed like the regular ones.
And Thunderball is a jerk. I tried 4 teams to beat him, then gave up and decided I just won't try to get Mockingbird.
I'm about to abort both missions. Hate 'em! I've used up most of my resources to heal, buff, debuff, etc. I've beaten Sabretooth the first time but the second time he just wipes me out. It's like playing Final Fantasy!

I like that story. How little do you value your job that you'll disable a backup system so that you can surf the net?

You must have Tony's shield up at all times with Thunderball.
I had more trouble with Blob than I did with Sabretooth. You'll need a medic (either an agent with a healing device or Strange). With Sabretooth, its the bleeding damage that'll get you. There is one device that cures and prevents futher application of bleeding damage for a few rounds on your whole team. That one is huge.
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.

You talking about the Hemostatic thingy-mabob? Didn't think to use Strange! I've been trying to beat Sabretooth with Wolvie and either Iron Man, Cyclops or Thing.
Zactly! In the early goings I found it easier to deal with Sabes & blob at the same time (cause hulk would have his big over-hand smash thing all charged up for Fred by the time I got there).
Thunderball kicked my butt silly the first few times. That is one frustrating match. Only made worse knowing that there is no way I will be able to get 5 stars in each level in the next 15 days.
