I am happy as all Hell to get Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E. (I am So Fielding these guys!)
But, Gambit is on the box, and we get no Gambit? Or did I not see him?

You know, the number of "Why isn't character X in the set?" complaints are making me happy. We saw the same complaints after Web of Spider-Man came out, and I think it's a good sign. If we can get a Spidey set with about 40 pieces related to Spidey and an X-Men set with about 50 X-Men related pieces and still have folks clamoring for more characters, that's good. Wizkids has plenty of desired characters left to make/remake, and the fans are still interested. Hurray!


I'm happy with the set list, even if I have no clue who folks like Gatecrasher and Gideon are. Nextwave and X-Villain goodness for me!

Probably the only one hoping for a Matthew Risman LE. Need more Purifiers!

Don't know how I missed the close-up poster pics in my first scan, but now that I've seen it...wow. Even more wow. I honestly don't see any dud sculpts!

Even the characters I've never heard of and/or are indifferent about look good. Even the ones just standing there look good.

I can't wait for this set and I hope beyond hope that the sculpt quality is a sign of things to come for the next DC set.

WOW!! Really Impressed by this set. The omissions I'm really bummed about are Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. I really wanted a good update of those two, specially a 616 Quicksilver. But I'll get over it when I get my brick.
The one thing that got me really excited is the sculpts!! HOLY MOLLY!!! Al those sculpts rock!! Specially excited for Magneto, Phoenix & Storm. Thankfully there are no "Bart Allen" sculpts in this set.

We got Elixir! And Armor started to appear in the series near the very end... but yeah, a little saddened by the lack of Surge, Dust and Rockslide. The latter could have been a nice low point bruiser for the X-men, something the team does not have access to.

The only thing that concerns be about tight themes is that they pretty much HAVE to be major draws from that comic universe, or too many players will give the set a complete pass. And this isn't a Classics Pack...I don't think they can afford to have too many players passing on a full set.

I think this one is great because (while they have their detractors) the X-men have such a large fanbase that they should be able to carry a set. I assume my chance to get Melter will come with the next Avengers set, but when will I get my original Guardians of the Galaxy if sets move to tighter and tighter themes (I actually think this trend started with HoT)? If the Shi'ar Imperial Guard aren't in an X-men set, when will I see them, if ever?

I think set planning becomes even more important than ever with tighter themes. I'm kinda thinking that I would have liked to see Beast held up until the next Avengers themed set, so we could be guaranteed to get some X-men in that set (characters that cross over between the two teams), if that makes sense.

I'm stoked about this set though. And I have faith that WK will hit on all the characters on my wants list eventually...

Wow! Just wow!

A little before Arkham Asylum came out, Wizkids put up a survey asking what 3 teams we wanted pieces for. My suggestions were:

MODOK's 11, Technet, and something I don't remember.

I suggested them, but never expected to see anything from either of these teams. Then in Web, we got a bunch of MODOK's 11 pieces.

And this set we got Gatecrasher!!!!!!!! They really do listen!!!!

And there is so much else to love about this set.

Remakes of pieces who needed them either because they've been retired (Psylocke, Rogue, Sabretooth, Domino), new pieces that were sorely missing for a while now (Siryn), and pieces that we've been wondering for years where they were (First Class Angel!!!! Ch'od!!!!).

Oh, and we even get a Lockheed in this set.

Before we even see the super boosters, this is already my favorite Marvel set.

My only question is whether this is an old promo poster. We're missing the Fastball Special piece that was confirmed. Unless there will be duos included with the superboosters. It does seem if the "colossals" are 6 inches tall, that they'd be able to fit an extra piece or 2 in them.

I guess we'll see.

Anyone know if Deadpool's Corp will have extra keywords out of this list published so far? I'm not into the comics at all and have no idea who may or may not have it from this list, any help would be great.

I would have submitted a list of X-related characters that I was hoping for but aren't in here, but I figured that they can't make every mutant I'd want in a 60-figure set (54 if you don't count duos, and I don't, because I won't use them). But to make you feel better:

But I'm pretty happy with the set selection. And the sculpts look pretty amazing!

I though that at first, but she seems to be wearing her wakanda's queen attire on this one. Probably she is going to have x-men, ruler and fantastic 4 keywords.

On a side note. This is a Phoenix we haven't seen on clix before: This is the White Phoenix of the Crown... wich is MORE powerful than the Dark Phoenix... I can see a 250 to 300 points fig here, maybe even more!
