Tonight was one of the best Heroclix scenarios I've ever played--HULKAMANIA!

Harpua brought one of every version of Hulk that's ever been made in Heroclix, and we drafted figures from the pool, then duked it out in a battle royal on the Great Arena map.

We also determined starting squares for each figure randomly. (Harpua has custom 16 and 24 sided dice for just this purpose.)

This led to a giant clusterhulk* in one section of the map with multiple Hulks of different factions starting the game in adjacency. It was hilarious to see play out.


*Yes, I made that word up. I defy you to find a better one.

I'm back at work again this morning, so rather than telling you two how awesome that is and that I'm glad you had such a good time, instead I'm going to say that I am no exponentially jealous of your fun, rather than a simple 1:1 ratio.

Just feel it's going to be a long weekend

So at our Saturday morning tournament, BudPalmer and I were discussing the economic ramifications of my potentially buying a second counter display of Trek Tactics. He said it was too risky for dupes. Being an addict, I went ahead and bought it. Turned out both rares were ones I didn't have yet and there was only 4 dupes between it and the first display. I'm all around pleased with this impulse buy.

Nicely done sir! I was spectating a trek game and it turned out to be a pretty good game. A friend of mine who knows nothing of the Trek but knew practically everything about comic Heroclix was playing. Said he was having fun trying to see how a ship would have Super Strength.

I bought one more there (which are being sold for 4.99) and pulled one of my big wants in Voyager so I'm pretty happy.

Yeah... Titus and I chatted for a while after the game. I mentioned that $6 was high for the Trek clix. He and I tried to find any online proof that retail was $5 and we couldn't. Regardless, he decided to reprice them all at $5. John bought a full counter top display for $66 this morning, so Titus is going to give him a $12 booster free of Supes for the Feb Event to offset the price difference. I just need to email John.

Nice! I haven't bought any Tactics yet. I'll pick up a couple of boosters soon, though.
