Dr. Killbrew is a good support piece, cheap Outwit, Perplex, and Support with a damage increasing(rather than modifying so it gets around Nighthawk Prime)SP is solid for 35pt.
It won't work against prime hawk cause attack value has to be increased. But it does get around rule of 3 so perplex up 1 attack on a character with an ultra heavy for crazy high damage.... Imagine a CRIT hit bonus as well
I think the Mercenary is being unfairly maligned... if your opponent K.O.'s him and rolls 4-6, he's easy pickings for you next turn. Of course, presumably then his trait would activate again...
7 clicks + Indom isn't unheard of, but most of the previous dials we have with that combo have a lot of "blank" slots (like this new Deadpool with no damage powers).
Madcap with Indom, 7 clicks, and having his dial full of stuff? Now that's power creep!
My H/W link does not reflect the wants for my collection, it is a list of figures that I already have, but still "want" to play.
Did anyone catch the set numbers for Chipmunk Hunk and Bedlam? It looked like Hunk was a common and Bedlam an uncommon, but I missed their set numbers if they were shown.
Why are you so quick to judge shiklah without knowing what her other dial looks like? From what I recall from the comics her other form is more suited for close combat and it seems logical that it would be a wild dial as well.
I am not judging the other dial, I am judging THIS dial. To even change to the other dial she has to be healed to exactly her first click or be almost dead on exactly her last click. The other version might be really good, but trying to heal to it with this version is a huge pain in the butt due to the powers they put on her. Maybe Porter read the trait wrong and it does allow SE with ranged attacks, but until it is confirmed I don't think that she is good for 80pts.
But Primehawk only stops combat values from being increased.
Damage dealt is not a combat value.
Sinister Syndicate and Batman Enemy teams will love him (if Primehawk is around).
Mutation Enhancement: UNIQUE MODIFIER - When an adjacent friendly character hits, if its attack value is higher than its printed value, increase the damage dealt to one hit target by 1.
THE PEOPLE MUST THINK FOR THEMSELVES:# Friendly characters can't be targeted by Mind Control. Opposing characters' combat values can't be increased unless they are adjacent to Nighthawk.
***************
in order for killbrew's effect to trigger the damage bonus (which would not be affected by primehawk as damage dealt is not a combat value), the attack value must first be higher (which would be prevented by primehawk). however, as you pointed out, attack replacement would be (as always) a way to get around that.
I was addressing the frequent misconception that increase/decrease circumvents modification, and vice/versa

these aren't separate terms. increasing/decreasing are subsets of modification. they're just informing you of the direction of the modification
We don't know yet. Dead Girl's card didn't say anything about the card being used for amy game effects.
Oh thank you! It's weird to think these cards won't be related to the fame itself! Even the Civil War's were used for something! So, we gotta see what they actually are, or if this is the first time we'll get Marvel Trading Cards just to collect mixed up with Heroclix figures. LOL
This is speculation on my part, but the extra cards may be a visual way to represent Dead Girl's Headline tokens.
This was my thought too... seemed blatantly obvious... it comes with her, her trait mentions a Headline token, and the card clearly has headlines, so I just assumed.
Contrary to popular belief, I do know what I'm doing
