To be honest I kinda like seeing nightcrawler or the supermen across the board from me. I enjoy being put to the test. Some of the most fun I've had was battling legacy ares or wildcards copying the FF ATA the way it used to work. Maybe it's just me but I get excited at the opportunity to take those figures on.
I'll agree that it can be fun to be put to the test, but if it is every game for casual gamers, then it's overkill. I played in a tournament at another venue when GSX was released. The guy at that venue that everyone called a "pro" who was apparently a former world's champ or something and was playing a Nightcrawler killbox team. I proceeded to trash talk him (along the lines of professional wrestling trash talking) and played against his Nightcrawler + TK + Killbox team while I used the GSX Phoenix. It was a blast and I destroyed him, but most people aren't competitive players so that would be torture for them.

What killbox was he using?
It's like Michael Jordan going to the YMCA to play basketball.

The killbox seems to have limitations on the figure it can handle. When I was up against it I was using Thor/loki. I had taken out his elsa bloodstone and his X-23 trigger scented for Thor/loki for some reason never made an attack on them. Shape change went a long way in helping thor/loki too. Once they had quake it was all over for the killbox.
I don't remember the entire team. I do remember it was Nightcrawler, Psylocke (TK + exploit weakness/blades), and I thought there were two other figures but I just can't recall who they were. I ignored Nightcrawler and went after Psylocke & Co. After they were toast then it was Nightcrawler vs. Phoenix. Phoenix had a critical miss so she had Poison and I just kept chasing him around, it was pretty funny.
There was another game when it was Phoenix against Metron, Lyssa Drak, Night Nurse, and Indigo Staff. I took out Night Nurse and the staff first, then Lyssa Drak. After that it was all Metron and Phoenix. I ended up having 3 critical misses with Phoenix, but she was still able to take down Metron. Next I want to try using Phoenix against a Kid Zoom team and see if I can pull that one out too. If there is a tentpole I love right now, it is Phoenix.

Friggin' love Thorki. Bad but soooo much fun... And sometimes stuff like that happens.
But yeah, killboxes do need to be fairly well-made. You can't just throw them together. I've been using them since Supernova (edit: Crisis Supernova, not the set) came out, and I still think Supernova is very underrated thanks to his amazing, although sub-Nightcrawler, killbox potential. My favorite way to do it is to use Impossible Man or Chang Tzu to ensure that the attacks of my beaters hit and hit hard. That wouldn't really work with Thorki, though.
Darkseid is also interesting for killboxes in high-point games. I like to use Goodness and Mercy and three Parademon Drill Sargents, Darkseid, and a bunch of regular Parademons. Darkseid Outwits his target's defense, Perplexes their defense down, and snatches them with Omega Beams, parking them next to Goodness and Mercy and a bunch of Drill Sargents. Goodness/Mercy duo attacks for 13, with theme-team prop help from the Parademons to ensure that they don't miss. THAT would probably work against Thorki.

This actually sounds like fun to me. Did you see the thread a while back where somebody racked up over 1000 points against a madrox team? He kept making him bring in a madrox and would proceed to KO it right afterwards.
Yeah, I have been waiting to play against a Madrox team. So far I have played him on my team twice and both times he got one hit killed by the Hulk.
While going through some stuff last night, I found an old bag of Clobberin Time and Xplosion pieces. Found Mojo, Sauron (glued), and Moondragon (glued). Also found about 3 sets of the Indoor and Outdoor 3D objects.

There's something wrong, I could watch that video.
Where is Vevo/Sorny when you don't need them.
Wait, what?

Would you want to trade a set of each of those objects?
