@Roy I didn't target Darq with a kill (that was a one shot I blew on Dboy) Like I said earlier I got him targeting KJ. Why would I admit to targeting Darq if I killed him. I've been on the town side all game.
Well, I got Darq targeting KJ. My kill was a one shot (I didn't want to let that go early). If it wasn't I absolutely would have used it on Rokk a few days ago.

But like why target Darq at all? If you were suspicious of VB why not track him?

I went rng because I have no idea what to do at this point. I figured we only had the one scummer left, but that's obviously wrong. I think either grinner or VB are the last remaining threat honestly.
change vote Grinner
As I think on it, he stands out to me more for the same reasons as Rokk did.
Dupin's killer is Batman! He used a smoke bomb like he always does, then he used his batarang to try to swing away on the chandelier. But since there wasn't anywhere to swing, he had to get down. His batarang was already on the chandelier, so he had to pull a knife from his utility belt to cut the rope to the chandelier to free himself.
It's so obvious, I don't know how I didn't see it before!

The detectives were exhausted. Solving the mystery of the host’s identity had really taken it out of the remaining detectives. Plus all of the murders. They seemed to have given up solving the host’s murder, or doing any deductions at all. The whole of this half hour must now appear a tissue of inconsequence and incoherence.
“Hey you! Like, what were you up to last night, man? What were you doing near Encyclopedia Brown?”
“No, guys, it’s all a big misunderstanding. Honest.” Yusuke took off his mask to reveal his slicked back hair and tried to plead his case. “I can only fire my Spirit Gun once per day! This is like at the beginning of the series!” No one seemed to believe him. “Sooo... that’s it, then?”
Yusuke was set upon by the other detectives. He’d faced tougher opponents, but tonight he was too exhausted to fight back.
Morpheousdr3am3r has been eliminated! He was Yusuke Urameshi from the anime Yu Yu Hakusho (Town)
Night actions are due Thursday night at 10pm. The game will open Friday morning at 12am.
The host’s identity was solved, but there’s still a mystery. Who killed him? How? And why?
Can anyone solve the host’s murder? With your night action, you may submit your deduction as to who killed your host, how, and why. When submitting your answer, you must cite your evidence that led you to this deduction; if you don’t have a compelling case, then don’t send a random guess. You will not be penalized for wrong answers if you can persuasively argue that some clues fit, but an out-of-left-field guess with nothing to back it up is not a good idea. With the revelation of the host’s identity, you should be able to narrow down which clues are related to the murder.
“It's so obvious, I don't know how I didn't see it before!” One detective exclaimed to the group. “If you’ll all follow me…”
Once again, the group trundled through the library double doors. Ella Lopez had been following the same detective when she was Spirit Gunned. Into the parlor the 6 remaining detectives went, where they were greeted by another detective no one had seen before. He was standing in front of the fireplace. The first rays of dawn were just beginning to lighten the night sky outside.
Tim joined this other detective and gestured to the vacant seats around the fireplace. One detective sat in the loveseat. One sat in the armchair. Two sat on the sofa, and one sat on the chaise lounge.
"I've figured it out. We were supposed to think it was Batman. It was actually Red Hood framing Batman, while he worked with Batman's villains. He knew we'd think of Batman with the smoke bomb and the chandelier, but it was a knife because Red Hood uses a knife! And holes in the freezer could only mean Mr. Freeze. A dumbwaiter for Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee. There's too much blood because there's always blood when the Joker's around. The cameras are so Calculator can keep track of everything. There's no staff in the kitchen because that's how they snuck in, disguised as the staff. It's all clear, now!"
The assembled detectives were quite skeptical of these deductions. They seemed a bit annoyed at the man who was pontificating. Nick shook his head, ignoring his brother.
"I know that there are parts I'm missing here, but I'm pretty sure that the basic framework I'm working from is sound. Dupin wasn't murdered. We were right, he faked it. The only test of his death was checking his pulse. Two people did it, but they both tested the same arm. Dupin used the squash ball I found in the ballroom in his armpit to stop the pulse in that arm. It's an old magicians' trick, and Sherlock used it on John Watson when he faked his death leaping from the rooftop after Moriarty shot himself.
"The clatter was most likely things being set up for the "death." Supplies were in the dumbwaiter, like the blood for the pool. The rope was then cut on the chandelier to distract us and cover up any other sounds, and then Dupin dropped from the balcony, unseen because of both the lights being out and the additional cover of the smoke bomb.
"The only apparent reason for the holes in the freezer is to either rapidly cool a liquid or to dispense a liquid being kept cool. Unless that's where they were keeping the blood, since they used over a gallon of it for a body with no apparent wounds. I'm still a bit unsure on that.
"I did say they, because it seems Dupin had an accomplice - someone to move things from the kitchen to the ballroom in the dumbwaiter and to remove whatever had been in the freezer. This is part of the reason why there was no staff in the kitchen. The lack of staff or catering is also why I think the murder was both planned and staged - we were never expected to have a meal because we'd be busy solving the murder. It does make me wonder, though, if there actually is wine in all of those wine bottles. And I still don't know what happened to all the bodies."
Seven chimes began sounding as the new detective wrapped up his deduction.
"No one killed him, he faked his death as the grand mystery we were all invited to!"
Grinner has solved the second mystery! The mysterious host faked his own death, using his own blood he had stored in the freezer, a squash ball to hide his pulse, and a locking mask to disguise his breath. The fake murder was the entertainment for tonight’s guests!
Only one mystery remains - why are all the bodies disappearing?
The other detectives took it all in. One detective, however, seemed agitated. “You’ve got an accomplice here? Really? My invitation didn’t have a plus one. I’ve got some buddies that would have been extremely helpful here, but they didn’t get to come. You cheated!” Tim seemed taken aback. He didn’t really know what to say. The angry guest looked at the new detective he was just meeting. “Anybody know you’re here?” “Just my brother.” “Yeah, I’ve had it with this baloney.” The gruff detective charged at Tim and knocked him out of the parlor window. “That’s what happens to cheaters! I'm sick of all these shenanigans.”
Someone has been eliminated!
Night 7 has ended, and Day 8 has started! The day phase will end at 11:00pm EST on Friday.
It's weird, everyone having already presumed Dupin faked his own murder, but we're only making it official now near the very end of the game because someone laid out specifics of how it was done.
Grinner, you seem to be our go-to man for putting all the pieces together. So tell us, why are the bodies disappearing?

I'm guessing it's because "Dupin faked it" answered the "Who" but not the "How" and "Why."

If I knew, it would have been in my write-up I sent in.
Although I'll be honest, I'm more concerned with who killed my idiot brother last night. There are six of us, and I can clear two of us (one obviously being me), which leaves us with four possible killers.
So, who killed Tim (and made it so I don't get to make those fun posts anymore)?
