"What is that supposed to mean?"
"What it means, sir, is that a situation that was well on it's way to being controlled and eliminated was made worse by these .....Justice league people. What makes it even worse is that the synthesized anti-bodies made from the Venom symbiote are now useless against the new from."
"I don't understand how this could have happened."
"It appears that the Ooa energy sustained the organism wile the cells fused with the .......ah... Plastic man.....well, goop, sir."

"Thermal tracking has shown that the organism has split 6 times already. Which appears to be the extent of it's capability at the moment. The new creatures seem to be focused on the need that their new forms require."

Also it appears that the Susan and Jonathan Storm are in the area, for reasons unknown, and might participate."
"Second was the shape shifter Mytique. It's amazing what some money will do to some people..... she assembled her own team. We didn't have to give her a reason.......she didn't care."

Thanks, eagletsi. I thought it worked quite well. Richard was kind enought to let me take a shot at it since I was looking for a way to kill some time on the weekend. It did it's job quite well I might add.

.........oh, it appears that I forgot to say that "if" it was taken to imply the JLA messed up(and I don't think it does ) that it would be an off-handed compliment to the JLA for the great game that ws played. Of course it didn't imply that so there is no reason to explain at all...........nope, none at all.

On to the story.......

Psylock smiled as she say the creature approaching. Out of habit she brought forth a psi-knife in her off hand and hit the creature with a clean shot to the head. The creature staggered, shook it's head and continued to come at her.
"Hun..........Oh right, no brains. Guess I'll have to use the sword from now on", as Betsy fumed at her mental mistake......she should have known better.


Sue saw the creature still standing and decided to take a shot at the creature herself. She felt an energy coming through her own field that seemed to give her more power than usual. She lashed out and clearly hit the creature to the floor........ only to have it bounce up again!!!!
Psylock and Sue,"The hell..........?"

Psylock could feel the approach of others right behind them. It seemed as though they were interested in working together. Betsy though to herself, if they are all as tough as this little guy then all the help they could find would be a good thing. She sent out a quick psi-message Welcome aboard! Watch out, these little guys are tougher than they look. If we can do anything let us know."

The zombie was looking at Betsy with a far off look that didn't quite make it to her eyes,"Yeah, like that's never happened before. Take a picture it lasts longer!" ......the zombie seemed unaffected by her sass and continued to stare.
