It's a shame that soon people will begin dogpiling you for your posts (just because it's you). For what it's worth, I think your arguments are well thought out and well presented.
When people see this "response by Brazil," I hope they take a moment to digest it before shutting off their brain and simply mashing the keyboard with insults.
Eak gadds...please forgive all my spelling mistakes in the previous posts. (I should probably use the spell checker) Those of you who have been reading my posts for the last couple years are used to it. I'm basically illiterate.
Sorry about that. If you had trouble reading my post perhaps someone can translate or you could order a "Brazil to English" dictionary from Amazon.com.

2> March 2003 Xplosion was released, and little plastic street walkers started hitting HeroClix maps in bunches. HeroClix hadn't released the "Vice Cop" figure yet, so there was no stopping them. Illicit activities were running rampent on every HeroClix street corner.
In a recent interview, Jon Leitheusser, the lead HeroClix designer, when asked to name a “design failure” replied, “I'm embarrassed by the Con Artist from Xplosion/Marvel Universe. The sculpt was all wrong, it resulted in the most annoying phrase in the game-“the hooker bomb”-and she was too easily abused. I was hoping the character would be a nice support piece, but her utility was too high for her points, so she became a problem.”
This made me laugh out loud. Basically Jn is saying that they didn't listen to the fans in the first place, and ignored our pleas to not include the hooker bombs in the Universe set. That's like saying how embarressed you are that you're soaking wet when you went outside to go play and both your parents told you to take an umbrella because it would rain. Top notch strategy WK.
Maybe you should see what constructed teams have been winning the World Championships, I'm pretty sure it's not the con artist teams, so where is the problem? You may not like them, or having to face them, but they are beatable. As for taking them out easily with a figure thats very usable afterwards, I think the Clint Barton LE works wonderfully for this, TK him forward, running shot, 3 targets, 3 dead con artists.
Very good article btw and I look forward to seeing many more.
I guess my example was after Cyborg had already PW'd , if he had not been able to PW then I agree it would negate his ability to get the Con's into their sweet spot. And their is now more and more ways to defeat that Con combo. As has been mentioned , Clint Barton( Ult) Earthquake BFC, even the Darkness BFC would either hamper or eliminate the Con. With the new Feat cards previewed from Legacy it will be even easier to take the "hooker" mini-bomb out.
The new team ability Outsider can be used very effectively to limit the opponents ability to use perplex on themselves. Yet another detriment to the Cons longevity.
i still haven't been able to figure out what the cons do to perplex... do they boob the enemy fig to death? and the funnyest thing happend once when me and my friend were playing... his electra had two click left and i finshed it off with a con artist perplexing her own damage and a destany re- rolling...

I cant figure out why an article needs to be written about how to abuse the con artists. That's like writing about how to strap a rookie Vulture backpack to a Firelord under the old rules.

I'm proud to admit I've never used more than a single con artist on a team and I've used the rookie version in one tournament and the experienced in two tournaments.
In the one time I used the rookie, I attacked someone with her while using her own perplex and I proceeded to damage the opponent for 2. I believe it was the very next turn and I pushed the con artist to do 2 more damage and knock her off that perplex. That was lots of fun.
After seeing Cyborg used for the CAs in the picture, it reminded me of a Titans team I fronted with Hawk and Dove. I did not even think of using PW to "activate" them. I guess the way I see it is like most everyone here wants PW to work: an enemy figure must be in range.

I think some people would be surprised at how somewhat basic strategies that advanced players take for granted are still somewhat of a mystery to the casual player.
