Red Hulk, Blue Hulk, Old Hulk, New Hulk
Oh, in the land of Hulks they say
A rainbow of Hulks was born on that very day
Subtle shades and tones, mixed colours i say
One Hulk was green, another one gray
One Hulk was calico, another one plaid
Hulk's storyline was getting real bad
Hulk had been offworld
Then returned to destroy a city
The word for its quality's banned
Which makes it a pity
Hulk was no longer a character
But a bad plot device
Bet he's a clone, a skrull or five separate 'bots
Or some other plot that Marvel's used lots
Not a fan of Marvel, I certainly don't lie
But with lame stories, even an android can cry
So, oh you zombies, send me your vents
Welcome to Quesadaville,
Hope you survive the experience

I'ma chalk that up to opinion and nowhere near "fact." Bottomline? Prior to PH and WWH, Hulk had been AMAZINGLY misused. I dug a lot of the Bruce Jones stuff, but after the second YEAR of cliffhanger stories without any real resolution, it got VERY tiring. Cue Pak, who took the character and actually did something NEW with him. On that note, I'm thinking that your assessment of PH in particular is borne of either unfamiliarity with the character or only a cursory examination of the story, because PH evolved the character to a degree unseen since the days of Peter David. Period.
As for WWH, what exactly were you looking for? Nuance? Intricate plot points? I wasn't. I knew exactly what it was: Hulk being reintroduced as the Alpha-level threat that he always has been. It was a classic "Hulk smash" story done with a fresher, more brutal version of the character that actually made sense given what happened in PH.

Rainbow Hulk. No doubt this is a sign that the Hulk is gay. If it's the Ultimate Hulk, I pity the guy who Hulk forces himself on. Poor Ultimate Thor and his long golden girly hair.

My one problem with WWH was that the title was misleading. He only fought in NY, not the world. Except a brief excursion to the Inhumans home, which was/is on the moon, so technically, not the "world".
Other then that, it was a really good story IMHO.

Yeah, it could've been grander in scope, but the ancillary issues helped flesh that out.
I think a lot of the griping was due to people's favorite characters getting beaten. But, y'know...that was kind of the point of the whole thing.

Favorite moment of the whole thing was in WWH: X-Men, where Hulk punched Wolverine into a concussion. Later on? He did it again. GOLD!
Yeah, there is just something about seeing Wolvie get knocked out. I liked it in the "Enemy Of The State" storyline of Wolvie's when Cap knocked him out with just one punch.

My problem with Rulk is that the whole thing hinges upon the lure of a big reveal. Who is Rulk? Who is Rulk? They can only dangle the carrot for so long until it kind of becomes old...
But...Nightcrawler really has been my favorite character for years.
Fact? You are talking about how people feel about comic stories - there are no "facts"
You could say that One More Day is the greatest story ever written, about time, etc.
I would say Ambush Bug is the greatest character ever, Martian Manhunter is superb, etc.
And someone would promptly post "no wei, teh Ghots riedr is teh best!" or "Scret Wars II absolutly rawked my wrold"
If YOU think your opinion on a story's quality is "fact", man, you need to cultivate some ganglions!
AND IT WAS A FREAKING DOCTOR SEUSS POEM!
First off, the word "I'ma" isn't a grammatical error - it is a stylistic choice. Portmanteau (of sorts), if you want to get technical. Save the grammar nazi #### for the Halo crowd.
Second, I think you're taking my response a bit too seriously. I didn't say something like "OMG u r t3h suxx0rz!" I stated what I believed to be wrong with your assessment, whimsically-phrased though it was intended.
You stated an opinion. I, in turn, stated one back.

Wow. You're the type of guy for whom the internet was invented, hmmm?
Sorry. Not a fan of the whole internet attitude thing. Especially when I wasn't snarky at all in any of the above posts. AT ALL.

Loeb already destroyed it by dividing the book and separating Rulk from Hulk. She Hulk shouldn't be fighting Rulk, Hulk should. Sure, he did already, but the "final" fight between the two was very brief and unsatisfying.
And, to save y'all the trouble, yes - that's what she said.
