I will admit that I have not looked through the thread other than your list, album and the link to the directory of pics. Where can I can BUY these maps other than eBay? I have some of the older maps and I know that I can order the non official maps from Grid and Mayhem, but I'm looking for official maps through the years as I play mostly at home.
ANY info would be appreciated!

Unless your local comic/game store(s) sell off their excess maps after their tournament season, eBay or the 'realms Sales forum are pretty much your only options. Except for the ones in the starter/collector's sets, official WizKids maps are not meant to be sold retail, so the secondary market is the only place you'll find them.

When it comes to Superman and Batman, Grant Morrison is nothing but a 50's cover band in a 70's psychedelic funk style.

so wait, if they are not mean to be sold in retails, how the he'll do you play at home? I mean I might be coming back into Clix, but that seems to go against what they used to do. I recall being able to buy Map Packs and such.
I know I can go with some customs, third parties and such, but Wizkids doesn't make maps for outside of tourney jus doesn't seem to make sense?!
Maybe I'm just out of touch?
So these CA maps (helicarrier), how do you get those? I see a few on eBay for sell. How would I go about getting them from WK?

...jus seems a bit odd to me...
Well, they haven't had Map Packs in years, even before the game died and came back. WizKids doesn't really market the game with casual home play in mind, because they make most of their money from tournament players. That's how collectable gaming always is, mate. Doesn't matter if it's HeroClix, Warhammer or a CCG.
The only maps that WizKids sells directly are the ones in the starter packs and collectors sets, like Brightest Day, the new Thor Fast Forces pack and so on.
Maps like the Hellicarrier, or Krakoa or the Fountain of Asgard or whatever are found in the Organized Play kits only. Most venues will give the maps out as Fellowship prizes or whatnot. That's how people get them.

If you are going to laminate the maps you could embed some thin neodymium button magnets under the laminating sheet and it would hold the maps together great. (just be sure to get the polarity right BEFORE you laminate :D
Well I just bought all four maps of the Helicarrier and some older ones too off of eBay. Guess it's time to learn Dunjunni (LoL, or whatever it's called, haha).
I found my old Mage Knight Dungeons 2-sided map the other day. I don't know if it's noteworthy or not, but I thought that I would bring it up and post pics as it is a 1.5" square map that WizKids released.
They don't have the colored lines, but the rubble on the map could be considered hindering terrain and the water could be considered water terrain. However, I'm not sure how to convert the pits on the Strip-Mine map.
Those Mage Knight maps are also designed so that they can be cut up into smaller parts, along dotted lines printed on the map, and be arranged to make different maps. Unfortunately, the maps are two sided and the dotted lines on the front and back of the maps don't line up.
You could probably either use the graveyard grave rules, or if you're feeling brutal, the chasm rules from the Halo Banshee map...
Quote
Aerial vehicles can move over chasms without penalty; non-aerial vehicles can't move onto chasm squares. Chasms do not block line of fire.
If a figure is knocked back onto a chasm square, the figure is eliminated (it can respawn). The attacking unit gets an Upgrade token and its controller gets a Kill token.
A figure can, however, attempt to move over chasm squares as long as the next square it moves onto after the chasm square is a non-chasm square. When a figure moves over a chasm square, its controller rolls a d6. On a 1, the figure falls and is eliminated. If a figure falls in this way, the opponent gets a Kill token (no Upgrade token is awarded).
If you intentionally end your figure's move on a chasm square, that figure is eliminated; the opponent gets a kill token (no Upgrade token is awarded).
That's worded for ActionClix, which expects a relatively high turnover rate on figures compared to HeroClix. I'd probably try the following changes...
Flying figures are treated like Aerial Vehicles (they can ignore the chasm as long as they have the ability to fly).
When a figure involuntarily ends its move on a chasm square, the figure's controller rolls a d6. On a 1 or 2, the figure is eliminated. On 3-6, the figure can be placed in any open, non-chasm square adjacent to the chasm, and if it has zero or one action token, it is given an action token. This can cause pushing damage.
Multi-square figures may end their move with less than half their base occupying a chasm square (so only 1 square on a 2x2 figure), but must make the fall check for every chasm check for each square they move if their base covers any chasm squares.
Multi-square figures who involuntarily end a move on at least one chasm square do not make a fall check, but are given an action token.
Figures eliminated by falling into a chasm have their points awarded to the opponent.
Figures with jump/climb get +1 on their falling rolls.
Those rules are just off the top of my head, so use them (and the map) at your own risk.
