Oh, hey, I agree with that, that's all simple stuff.
Outwittable traits and other new wrinkles though?
All uncharted territory before we began a discussion. And many times, I was told I was already wrong before anybody would tell me WHY. Gold Mjolnir/Character Card thread is a great example.
Don't just tell me I'm wrong, tell me WHY I'm wrong.
In the threads which you mention, you were given reasons why you weren't correct.
For example, flattmatt pointed out the similarity between the text on Mjolnir and the text of feats like Haymaker.
But it's not like Harpua, normalview and Quebbster were names drawn out of a hat. They didn't win a Heorclix Deputy lottery and were notified that suddenly their opinions were now tantamount to law.
I'd heard they were the first three to mail in ten UPCs from HoT.
I am in awe of the cool and awesome people here on HCR!

Indeed, but it wasn't until your explanation of his point that I understood what he was after. And I acknowledged that he was actually on to some sort of explaination, not just a "because I say so".
Quebbster - "'Generic' has no official definition. Ask your judge."
But I *am* tired of posters (not naming names since I don't remember any) saying that their answer isn't going to be considered "right" until/unless I say so. That's disrespectful and by deputizing them, they can now carry some "clout" that will maybe dial that back a little. They deserve that and the fact that it makes my life easier, well, I won't complain.
I'll go ahead and call myself out as probably guilty of this.
I'll try to curb my "enthusiasm" for getting to the meat of the "why". Also, in a few cases, the persons in question were adversarial with me for no reason other than they were certain I was wrong. Other times it feels as though their position, experience or "rep" somehow gave them an "auto-win" against a differing opinion.
Maybe I was wrong and reading into something more than I should have.
Again, as prior posted, I'll eagerly accept any ruling from Sheriff or Deputy equally, as long as the WHY is properly examined (when warranted, naturally...).
I'm not trying to be difficult, honest.

congrats fellas, couldnt have picked a better set of deputies. (well i could have but they would all include me )
i've always shown Harupa/quebby/normalview's responses as essentially the right answer, as they always quote the right things, maybe if i wasnt so lazy i would quote stuff too! hahah.
and they just so u know they are human and therefor they arent always right;
example: (if i remember correctly) harupa was apposed to CPoC being carried (and Crisis SR Flash) (just saying )

I like this alot. I am always checking out the question threads , trying to help when i can, and looking to broaden my knowledge of the game. I would usually go with the opinions posted by theese fine gentlemen , but now i know if they say it its pretty much how it is. Will I agree with everything all the time ? No. Do I blame them for it ? No. The one thing i know i will get with every ruling / opinion is the explanation behind it. So Congrats to you all.
