Big Figure would immediately give his force free attacks when you KO the pogs, enough to KO your whole force. You'd be doing his work for him. The free attacks he grants can happen during your turn.
Yeah, the free attacks granted by BF can happen during an opponent's turn, but the idea as stated was "Extant out of Spidey's range." Send a mandroid armor out so it is within range of TKing a Jarvis. TK that Jarvis as far back as you can. Have your team hugging the back side of your starting area where Spidey cant reach them (and your opponent can't perplex his range on your turn). Then kill the Jarvis from range with Extant. With Extant and most of your team outside of Spidey's range, your opponent gets 23 free attacks on... your mandroid armor.
Sure, this would be hard to set up, but we're into some far-fetched scenarios already, aren't we?

Yes, on all counts.

Fortunately, Cosmic Spidey costs too much for a regular game. You could achive similar, but not as effective results with HoT Cap or SI Strange on some maps.
New Bullseye Tbolted to Ultimates would be good as well. Again not that I support this sort of broken, as I feel he was intended as a "During your opponents turn....." but until we get the word I fear any game with him across the board. The only way to really counter it is to use SIF and hide behind Walls and wait for them to come to you at this point. Since it would be golden age you could also dissent the ultimates/see into stealth person and outwit that team ability and just wait till your moment to kill Big Figure/outwit Big Figure as well.
You're right, but only a small number of players go to Gencon. I'm more concerned about the affect of Big Figure on larger point games, which I know my venue at least has with regularity.
If any idiot showed up with 23 Jarvis pogs, you should already know what to do.
Any real player would never use that team at a venue. And any idiot will only do so once.
Peer pressure is a good thing sometimes.

DEFEATING CHARACTERS
When a symbol appears in a character’s stat slot, that character is defeated. Immediately remove it from the map; it is no longer part of the game.
BYSTANDER TOKENS
A bystander token is a character which does not have a combat dial. Although a bystander token has combat values and follows all rules for HeroClix characters, it does not click. If a bystander token takes any damage, it is defeated.
Thanks, GG!
Seems to me the intent of Big Figure's power was to be on your opponent's turn...a sort of retaliatory ability. We'll probably get an errata at some point either clarifying that OR limiting it to once per turn.

Agreed. This type of thing hits a couple of my pet peeves: playing loopholes rather than playing the game AND playing a team they obviously didn't come up with on their own (but rather read about it here).
Well, all I know is there is a lot of violence being bandied about on this thread, for no good reason.
If you're not beating up the guy playing 4 Out of the Shadows Batmans, or you're not kicking the guy who played SIF or LAMP in the face, then why would this be any different? Seriously, if someone showed up at GenCon with this team build at a 500 point Golden Age event, would anyone really physically assault them?
I assume this is all a bit of hyperbole, because if anyone assaulted me or anyone else over a game of plastic superheroes, I would hope they would enjoy their 3 years behind bars.
Heck, maybe they could even BECOME Big Figure! And I'm sure they could find their own Larry and Mike to play with them in the county jail or state pen!

Note to self: When playing the ultimate cheese combo, bring a Snicker bar to throw into the corner to facilitate a hasty escape from the rampaging chubbsters....
This could be annoying. Nothing some outwit, or pulse wave, or Mystics, or etc. couldn't fix. But annoying.
I'm not sure how you're outwitting Big Figure way in the back of the map. Ditto on delivering the pulse wave. Mystics is your best bet-- but as discussed, not that scary a threat to the spider.

I would never play 4 OOTS batmen. Whether it is "cheese" or not, that team certainly requires stealth, because Batman is really nerfed after his top clicks.
23 Jarvis Pogs is an entirely different story. If 4 OOTS Batmen were near a "line", 23 jarvis Pogs is so far over it that there is no dispute the person playing it is either an idiot or a douche.
Either way, that person would be told that such a team is not expected at any of our tournaments because it is so unreasonable. And such a player would either comply, or be excluded from any reasonable player community.
That or a swift kick in the behind. Either will do.
"And I shall make little coins with my head on them and place them in the thongs of your strippers."
"They tell you never hit a man with a closed fist, but it is on occasion hilarious."
Well maybe not 3 years for simple assault, but assault and battery can get you a bit more.
I still don't see why anyone would need to be hit for playing a cheese team. Heck, I don't even see why they would be banned from local playing group for playing a cheese team.
But I am reminded of a story about a man who was standing in line at a movie theater. Another did something that "offended" him, so the first man punched the other guy in the temple and killed him.
He didn't mean to kill him, but he sure meant to punch him. And bad things happened.
I'm just saying, if you outlaw the Big Figure/Cosmic Spidey/Jarvis cheese, then you sure as hell better outlaw all the other nonsense cheese that gets played, including Ms. Marvel, HOT Capt America, and others, especially when played with other hyper-efficient characters to maximize their broken-ness.
And if it gets to that point, you might as well say that players can only use comic-accurate theme teams, or don't bother playing.
And if it gets to that point, you might as well have the judge, the store clerk, or a team randomizer make the teams so that everything is fair.
I'll pass.
Final thoughts:
Don't punch anyone over a plastic superheroes game.
If you ban this cheese, you better ban all of it.

Wouldn't it improve the team in this example to use Mary Janes rather than Jarvi? She's 1 point more expensive, but she's a wildcard. Put 10 jarvi, 9 mary janes and 1 alicia masters on the team. That way if Spider-Man gets hurt by, say, Mystics, an MJ can wildcard avengers to free move up onto the phone booth, and then wildcard Fantastic 4 TA from alicia and free action KO herself. She gives 1 click healing to every F4 member on the team, which includes Spider-Man since he's wildcarding it at that moment, and she gives Spidey another attack. Healing spidey with no need for a medic (who'd have a hard time hitting his D anyway) or actions.
Also, why can this not be done first turn as follows: Mandroid armor TKs Big Figure onto the phone booth. Big Figure free action pushes, then on his action moves off of the phone booth. Uses perplex on Spider-Man's range value, let's say. Spider-Man then moves out to where every member of the opposing team is 11 squares or less from him using his massive move value. Then begin the free (as in no action cost) moving jarvis/MJ tide and the free (meaning free!) action pushing to KO, until everyone on the opposing team is KOed, Mystics or not.
I don't see why that doesn't work first turn, can someone correct me on it?
