The changes in the leaves always excited Kenny. It was the onset of Fall, and that meant he could decorate the house for Halloween, then Thanksgiving, finally ending with Christmas.
Pumpkins were the predominate decoration it seemed, and that year, his local grocery store was selling cardboard cut-out prints will felt accents. As excited as a kid could be, he asked him mom to buy some of them. She reluctantly agreed, and he was allowed to pick out 4 of his favorites. The top of his picks was a cute black kitten resting beside a large jack-o-lantern.
He ran his hands across the orange felt and smiled at his prized decoration. His mother also agreed to a plastic pumpkin on the promise he would fill it with leaves from the yard.
More impressed with the cut-outs, Kenny immediately hung them on the walls of the house. He wished he could do more, then he remembered the pumpkin. He took the plastic bag outside one afternoon, and he begun to gather leaves to fill it. Unfortunately, the only leaves that had fallen were both scarce and crunchy. He would not be able to make it far with this project.
The pumpkin would remain unfilled.
Years later, his sister tried to talk him in to attending OSU in order to support the Cowboys. "I'm not a Sooner fan. I'm supporting the cowboys. You should too." She said.
"Amanda, I like OU because, well... Honestly, I'm not sure why other than a schooner is a little less ugly than that hideous cowboy mascot."
"But, the colors! Orange is better than crimson. Don't you think so?" Amanda tried to convince him.
"Honestly, not really. I'm not a huge fan of orange... or football." Kenny replied.
He shook back to reality... As much as reality could be here. "I guess... I guess I don't have much positive to say about you. I did really like the felt pumpkin cut-out, but... I can't help but feel it was more for the kitten than the pumpkin. I had hoped that, even though I wasn't too fond of you, others would be. I'm sorry..."
He held out the prism, and the color began to be absorbed.
"Wait... Clementines! I LOVE clementines! There's one great orange thing I like!" The color vanished within the prism.
vlad3theimpaler has been absorbed into the prism. His color was Orange (Town), mostly disliked by many, but there were a few who held a special place for the shade, mostly at the breakfast table.
Day 2 has ended, and Night 2 has begun. Submit your actions. You have 24 hours.
Kenny was watching the clouds floating by. The blue sky seemed so calm that evening. He sat there in his chair on the porch, petting his old gray cat, just thinking about life.
The sky started changing to a myriad of colors, the final display before the night brought forth the diamonds. In the faint light that remained, Kenny caught a glimpse of something. He sat up and went over to the two fighting it out.
"Hey... HEY!" He called out to one of them. "You don't get to do that, not to this one. Well, not yet at least." He kicked the color across the yard and noted how out of place it looked where it landed. He felt bad, letting his anger get the better of him. Still, he looked to the color that was being attacked. "You know I have fond memories surrounding you, and a lot of others like you, too. But I won't be here every time you need help. You'll have to be more cautious, especially at night."
He walked back over to his chair and sat down. His cat was out in the lawn, trying to find the color that was kicked away.
**********
*SPLASH!*
The color ran all over the person. "Ha ha!" He cried out. "Now you're just like me." The splashed color looked at what happened then ran off crying. The one who threw the paint crossed his arms. "That's right, baby. You're getting on in years, and the gray is finally showing."
He yawned, having spent most of the night getting the paint ready. He decided to head back inside. Kenny was in the bathroom, cleaning the gray battleship-like tiles of his shower. "Oh, hi Gray." He said to the color. "Some people think I used a bit too much of you and made my house too neutral. But I disagree. I think you're a beautiful color."
He got up from the floor and started to walk over to Gray when he remembered a day after school. It had been raining a lot most of the day, but by the time he returned home, it was more of a sprinkle. The gray clouds were pouring liquid life into the ground, and he knew this storm was special. Once home and into play clothes, he ran off into the woods where he hoped the creek would be overflowing.
Near the basin of the valley, he saw the flowing water cutting paths in between leaves, sticks, and rocks. He smiled at the gray waters, so colored from the sky's reflection. He felt overjoyed and at a calm peace at the same time. He sat there, watching the water for what seemed like hours. It was a time of innocence and a feeling he did not get to feel very often.
He snapped back to reality just in time to see Gray get attacked from behind. "NO!!! You... You..." He frown and knelt beside the color. "I'm sorry... If I had reacted faster... but even then, I shouldn't interfere."
He reached into his pocket and pulled out the prism. "It's the best I can offer you for now. You'll live on, though. Just look around you. You were one of the main color choices I went with in my house. There's so much I could do with you, it's why I liked you so much."
Silver Lantern has been absorbed into the prism. His color was Gray (Neutral), a color that went with everything and proved the world was more than black and white.
Night 2 has ended, and Day 3 has begun.
With 8 players remaining, 5 votes are needed for a majority.
Well it looks like SL was a survivor and it looks like Kenny somehow intervened in the first paragraph. I wonder if that's just flavor text or if someone is actually controlling Kenny. Still, given the context, I think it's likely best if we don't investigate that too deeply.
In terms of mafia theme, it's something with yellow, but not orange, indigo, etc. Looks like a Primary color mafia to me unless someone else has any other ideas.
The one getting saved in the first writeup is me, I had an extra life and someone tried to NK me, did a reverse traker targeted me by any chanse? or a traker targeted someone who targeted me?
Not trying to come across as a jerk or anything, but I can't imagine any player who wouldn't claim that they were a townie who had a power that could potentially be useful if aimed at the right target. I hate to come down on newer players, but if I were to say that, everyone would think I was deflecting. Just saying.
From what my results gave me...Chi is town as is Zyxba
I know I'm outing myself here a bit without pressure but can't afford to get any votes on me should you all care to pressure vote me later when I'm not around. Votes will downgrade my Night survival rate.
