The Thanos player has to play it a little more cautiously for sure. He can afford to take a hit for 5 (3 after reducers), but he cannot afford to take a hit for 7 (5 after reducers) and still hope to win.
I think it's great that even with no move attack powers up front, Thanos can still compete with the 300 point Superman.
yeah, i agree. superman is point and click, and thanos is finesse, but he definitely has a chance to compete against superman.
They are pretty evenly matched as as long as superman can't attack and escape scott free, I think it will just come down to the luck of the day.
But in a 400+ point game, Thanos immediately starts overtaking Superman in value IMO.

I wouldn't say it's a lost cause even if he gets hit for 7; it would put him on PW & Outwit, a nice combo to clip Superman. Thanos would likely get knocked onto Regen at some point, so he'd still have to roll reasonably well in order to heal enough to not get KOed, but with all that Outwit, PW & PB, I wouldn't count him out until you see those red letters.
But does the other Thanos created have a potential 16 AV, 22 DV, 8 Damage + prevent all other characters from being healed? On, that's 8 damage w/psychic blast...
Just saying... Have to factor in the KO'd trait and getting +1 to combat values.

When I first saw the dial for this guy, I was pretty scared by that 13 attack and those traits. Now, after reading the comments, I look at the dial and start to hate Superman. The fact that every figure around this point value is going to be compared to that pain in the ### is not very palatable, especially after having to fight Superman nearly all the time nowadays.
I am glad to see that they're going to continue doing figures with multiple point values and multiple starting dials. I just wish that they would do it all the time in addition to any other gimmick like AEs. Using multiple point values as well instead of just AEs might've helped improve the general opinion of the Hulk set, since they could've made a Hulk like that.

Whats weird is if you look at their 150 point versions, their stats are almost the exact same. Only the powers are different. and even some of those are the same
He is amazing. But, it definitely makes sense. The 400 point sealed game for the Infinity Gauntlet utilizing Galactic Guardian boosters points to the fact that this will be a point-expensive set :D
You mean it isn't broken yet? In any case, Thanos being a scientist isn't at all inaccurate. Mystical is more surprising, but it's plausible.
Adam Warlock... his "evil" and "good" sides the Magus and The Goddess are often his biggest headaches and have been cosmic pains in the butt for the Marvel Universe particularly during the Infinity War and Infinity Crusade, respectively.
Actually the one that comes to mind concerning a fight within is the In-Betweener. He is a product of Master Order and Lord Chaos.
The colony on Titan was established around 25,000 years ago (Marvel time), and Thanos is Mentor's first born on Titan to Sui San after he (an Eternal) exiled himself there, so no, he can't be over that many years.
Yeah, I just kinda went off the reservation a bit but all I was saying is that Thanos makes Stark look like a fetus with regards to science
