OK, still haven't bought the issue as I've been with family and traveling.

I'm still not going to be in an uproar about it but I reserve judgement to see how SSM plays out. I'll leaf thru it, check it out, and report.

I will say this: Peter Parker will find a way back to his body. You can see it right there, total plausible comic book comeback. But I'm not interested in "Parktavius" (You happy, Malakim? ) getting it on with MJ or otherwise. That's an angle that I do not want to read about.

Oh, and a perfect Peter Parker moment.......facing ginormous defeat in 699, I thought it was perfect Parker realizing there were no other options to simply ask God, "what ever I did , I'm sorry".

Pure weakness. He's beat. We know he's beat at that moment. No matter what 700 yields. Thought it was great storytelling. Slott does get Parker.

I don't know, I'm more partial to the name "Spock" (Spider-Ock) that I've heard him been called elsewhere.

I'll be happier when the Real Peter Parker shows up and winds up marrying MJ. Or re-marrying. Or just back WITH MJ.

But Peter Parktavius as an LE... well, now maybe I have a goal if I ever win Worlds.

I have ZERO interest in reading about Doc Ock in Peter's body.
Doc Ock is a VILLAIN who just freaking tried to ransom AND destroy te world and this whole redemption crap bothers me.
WHY?
Because he's already started out wrong.
He just murdered Peter.
He's now going to be running around acting like someone else and deceiving everyone (including MJ).
But according to everyone for this, that's ok because hey he put on a costume and is trying to do the right thing instead of turning himself in (which would REALLY be the right thing to do of he actually understood).

So I'll say no thank you to this crap.
I just got over OMD, just started enjoying Spider-Man again, only to have this foisted upon me.
I'll just stick to Captain America, Green Lantern and Batman now until Peter comes back........

Not to mention that - and I've already said this once but I'm willing to say it again - all things considered, Peter Parker deserved a better and happier ending than being the victim of the ultimate identity thief and dying of old age in an evil supervillains body while they get to supposedly live out what should have been his life.

People are totally missing the big picture Peter is not "dead" because at any point Mistress Death, Dr. Strange, or Dr. Doom can decide to drag PETER'S SOUL FROM THE AFTERLIFE. Besides it could be worse it's not like they made Spiderman A BLACK GUY

it's not racist it's a jab at the fact ULTIMATE SPIDERMAN is a shell of it's former self since they replaced Peter.

Well, I for one am glad for decades of old comics that bring me joy, since Marvel is so hellbent on screwing up Peter today.

My real problem with Ultimate Spider-Man is the way they replaced Pete - turning Osborn into an Ultimate Doomsday who was second banana to a bullet wound that Spider-Man never should have gotten in the first place.
