What does that even mean?

It's a concept by Rene Descartes (a famous philosopher, so you don't have to look it up ) That basically talks about unexpected outcome...byproducts of a governing system of laws.

It would blow, if that was the way it worked. However, you can give the character the free actions that occur within the action. You just can't give them any that would occur after actions resolve.

RANT: I'm wondering why (not necessarily in this thread) there's a constant desire to almost intentionally misinterpret or warp what is written. Sure, on occasion folks are right. Many more times, they're wrong. If the intent is clear, who the hell cares?

While I agree some of these go on for too long, and people have pointless circular arguments about tangents to the actual problem, it doesn't mean the original power is OK.

Reading just the trait, how often can this lion bystander be given an action as a free action?

I suppose that it qualifies for an errata, but...it seems pretty easy to figure out at the table.

Example:

DUDEGUY: Hey, can the lion just keep attacking forever, until the game is over or a player jumps up in disgust?

ME: I'd say no.

DUDEGUY: But the card doesn't say that he can only do it once per turn.

ME: No, you're right. Clearly the designers intended for there to be a figure that allows you to attack as long and as fast as you feel like rolling the dice.

DUDEGUY: Really!?

ME: No, I was being sarcastic. Stop it.
