Just remember, when the Smurfs game was announced it was labelled Heroclix as well.
Somehow I doubt this is going to have any discernable impact on the game.
This is why all these new announcements don't bother me. It doesn't do anything to change the game or the way I play. It still seems a little weird, but it's not really a big deal.
I really don't get the attitude from those who feel that this in someway devalues what they currently have or what they have done in the past. I've played nice with Marvel clix for years even though I primarily play DC. What I have is still great and I will continue to enjoy my DC clix regardless of what else is introduced into the game.
My 11 year old daughter is hugely excited. I've tried learning YGO and she's tried learning HC; hopefully this will be a happy medium for us.
It's too early to be certain, but IMO this will be more of a stand alone game. I can see the character cards being based more towards YGO. I just don't know how they will incorporate life points into Clix.

It bothers me because at some point I'll have to play against them. Currently I dislike playing against non-superhero clix and despise facing the Trek ships. YGO will rank beneath the ships.
And that impacts my enjoyment of the game.
There are 542,000 children in foster care. Talk to your local foster and adoptive agency. You could change a life.
If it isn't considered tourney compatiable I am all for whatever they want. I back this up with I am familiar enough with DC/Marvel characters and also collect enough I know what I am facing. I will not be collecting these, unless they look cool, and do not want to be handicapped/penalized for my lack of interest. I amall for home game compatibility play away but not on the tourney scene or any level of competitive play.
I love ST tactics but I don't mix it with comic clix. Each property should have its own scene and if the need calling arrises then make a multiuniverse tourney.

Agreed whole heartedly. Each univrrse should be seperate and compatible for home games only or special WTFE games.
The announcements upon announcements for new clix properties really makes me think that the company is either doing a) spectacularly better than I had any idea about, or b) spectacularly worse than I had any idea about.
On the one hand it could simply be indicitive of the company receiving really good profits and then wanting to expand to chase even higher profits at an alarming rate.
On the other hand it could mean that the company has really low profits and is essentially selling out its brand in a vain attempt to recoup losses and avoid bankrupcy.
Of course I hope for the first one, but I could totally see the second one happening as well.
The one thing I will say is that I think Clix will change dramatically in the next year...either exploding into newfound popularity or, well, dying.
I actually quit YUGIOH because of the players, and the love of clix, not the game. But now it's following me into clix. I'm quite upset by this cause its gonna bring in the d-bag players associated with yugioh. If it changes like that then I'm done with this game. YUGIOH players are just bad people.
Ah, cool: You're a ####ty sportsman. Thanks for the clarification.
How so?
Heroclix is not a sport.
Besides, don't I have choice to not buy or support a product I don't like? Are you going to send in the Heroclix Inquisition to drag me out of my house and force me to buy and play Star Trek Heroclix against my will? Will they come back and force me to buy and play YuGiOh clix?
So again, not buying YuGiOh or playing against YuGiOh, and you can't make me.
