For my birthday I went to see my first IMAX movie.
Pacific Rim. 3D.
I think it was a good choice for the first IMAX I've ever seen. I really enjoyed it, even if there weren't any twists to the movie, and it had a "checklist" of monster movie and action movie moments to cover.

Inspiring speech
Surprise attack
Reluctant partnership
Cocky rival becomes begrudging supporter
Stoic father figure sacrifices himself
Pseudo-scientific gobbledygook

Loved it. I always love the Gamers movies, Dead Gentlemen make me laugh and they've only gotten better since hooking up with Zombie Orpheus Entertainment, plus a whole mess of my favorite web show actors were in the film which was just awesome.
Just home from watching Kick-Ass 2.
Pretty much what you'd expect. It's funny, sometimes even a little clever, and really, really violent.
Not fond at all of an entirely unnecessary scene in the middle, but overall I enjoyed it.
I'm a big fan of the comics and the original film.I was skeptical going in having a new director/writer,but I really enjoyed it.Some times Rotten Tomatoes is full of carp...

And what more do we really need from a movie???It's awesome in the IMAX!!!
I just watched "cloud atlas" last night, it was interesting. A very long movie and the story is good but hard to understand/follow at points but I overall it was entertaining, also had some crazy gory death stuff in it which was surprising to me (i love gore btw)as I thought it was more of a romantic drama.

I liked it. It was much better than I expected. Stick around for the end, and it's not that far after the end either, like a minute into the end credits.
Only negative about it was when the guy a few seats down from me decided to puke his guts out all over the place with about 10 mins left in the movie...............
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
So, you mean American Westerns then, as he stole from American Western films.
That is what makes Magnificent Seven so ironic, a Western based on Japanese films based on Westerns.
Saying he stole... is disingenuous.
He was inspired by westerns, yes, but to say he stole is not exactly correct. I don't usually pick nits like this, but diminishing Kurosawa's genius kinda grinds my gears.

I've never seen a HALO movie before and never played the game either. I don't know much about it either. Except for those cool looking Heroclix figures. The film is not exactly what I expect but then again, I didn't have much expectation to begin with. But I enjoyed it.
