I love it how D3 made the Cap progression rewards completely unreachable with this event. I was hoping I could get 2 more Cap covers, but nope. Dumb as hell. And other than Friday, I've been ending each day in the top 15 so it isn't like I'm slacking.

Same here, I burned through a bit and climbed to 2nd place this afternoon. The key here is top 50. Same Torch covers for 1-50, just less ISO and HP. I figure I'll be safe with some more grinding tonight, and 2 sessions tomorrow.

Trying to hold your position is a waste of energy - sooner or later someone will catch up to you when you have only low point missions left. A smarter play is to do an intense session, then wait 12 hour for the recharge. The rubberbanding will help you catch up, so grinding really only raises the difficulty of the missions for you.
I blame the lack of subevents. They may have assumed people would grind a lot, but there's little reason to grind until the very last day.

I dropped 150 places overnight, but was able to catch up just playing a few missions. My plan is to stay away from some of the juicy nodes tonight and wake up early tomorrow for some last minute grinding...

Also, not sure what to do with Hollowpoint Kiss. On one hand, my Psylocke is far from finished. On the other hand, I don't really need any more Blue (have too many already), and I do have room to level her some more already. Guess I will wait and see what the next tournament is before making up my mind.

Heh. This morning I decided to not try to rise to the top 100 in First Avenger as all I really needed was the 50 HP. Now my daily reward is... 50 HP. I should have a roster spot ready for Johnny tomorrow.

I dont see a reset like there should be around now, wondering if there gonna do a 6 hour mark reset, or just not do one... hrmm

That would put it at the end point exactly. So i dont see how that would work.

I pushed to top 5 this morning about 9am, so I'll be playing fiercely for the last hour-ish to place top 50.

What's the ideal time to start the final push? You don't want to exhaust the nodes too early, but you don't want to leave valuable nodes on the table because you ran out of time.

When the phase ends, the event ends. What doesn't work about that?
Dunno. I usually start about 45 minutes before time expires, but I have that whole sleep thing to keep in mind.

I'm a little worried that I'm not gonna make top 50. Hoping that I can get some iso grinding out done closer to the end, but I'ma be really upset if I can't end up with 3 Torch covers with how hard I've worked in this event.

Yeah, that's the problem with this event: Only the last day or so matters.

Honestly, If I hadn't been playing the way I was, I probably wouldn't even be top 500. So I'm glad I'm pulling higher than I have before, but at the same time it's a little disheartening to be so close and yet so far =/

I'll likely make top 200 and get 2 Torch covers at the bare minimum, but I'm gonna be hawking the last hour of the event just to make sure I get my spot.
