You guys can call me a troll, or whatever else helps you sleep at night, but you still don't seem to grasp the point I've been making this whole time. In a game this complex there is no room for an implied mechanic. There needs to be consistent, precise language. If you're splitting the "damage dealt" then the rules should read that way. That's all.

You're making a logical error here.
You are equating people disagreeing with your belief to people failing to understand your belief.
Those are not the same thing.
It is entirely conceivable (and from my observation, probable) that every participant in this discussion fully understands the point that you are making while still not accepting it as being true.
