Okay I am not here to argue and all but I will have to put in some of my opinion on the matter of DDV.

Not necessarily, depending on what kind of deck you are running DDV can help in some small way no matter what. Think of it, you have a free look at the monsters set and the players hand and draws for the next two turns. If you are smart you can use that to your own advantage. I am testing out DDV in my own Deck and Hand Destruction deck and it helps me out with using card that you have to name a card in their hand. Viola, you know what they have in hand.
It's by no means a overpowered card that could win the game in the three turns that it's effect is on, but in the right deck you can use DDV to give you an advantage. You know what they have in their hand, and that right there I consider a +1, like I said before I am play testing it in my Hand/Deck Removal deck and so far it does help me out.
Now before anyone bashes this post like you all have been bashing each other's posts, let me remind you I did say it will not work to main deck DDV in every deck.
Don't be so scared ;) there was nothing remotely inflamatory in your post, why would anyone respond unkindly to it ?
The statements are also to some degree correct. DDV won't deck will in every deck. I would imagine it would be a poor choice if you had no dark 2000+ monsters :p But its usually a good addition if you are running several, or have easy access to them. Any deck that can actually use DDV to its advantage, will probably benefit from maindecking at the very least one copy.
Your argument on the f/d however holds less weight. ALL the cards you named have less than 1500 ATK and are valid targets for DDV. Its the ATK that counts, not the DEF....

Durr. Sorry I actually missed the part about the 1500 being Attack :surprised
Thats interesting seeing how you two were the ones that actually started it and calling people idiots for disagreeing with you.
Oh yeah, Ninja admitted himself that he was a stacker without anyone asking him. I never accuse anyone unless I have proof.
After checking my posts, not only did I NOT call anyone an idiot for disagreeing with me, I never said anything that people disagreed with.
Also, if you took what ninja said in the post you quoted as honesty and not sarcasm, I think you need to spend less time on the internet.
EDIT: ZaQ, please continue with your wonderful thread, I'm not going to post anything else in regards to this little "MONDAY NIGHT INTERNET DEBATE YALL" anymore. I've already said that, but this time I mean it <____________<
All that needed to be said on cydra was said as well, we should just get a mod to delete the last 3 pages of this thread and lock it for future reference
Ok well I might suggest to Zaq that maby you should d an article on ddv since it seems to be a hot topic from the last couple pages. I might add that ddv is insanely beast if you run it i a deck that has a ton of targets. Like i made a gravekeepers swarm deck with 3 assailents, chiefs, and spear soldires, and with necro valley plus rush recklessly's ddv was never a dead draw and it always got atleast 3-5 cards from my opponent. Yes in the right deck it can be insanely beast and i also would side in stein otk when that didnt work.
ZaQ, thanks for the article. I was one of the ones asking for it. I see all your points about Cy Dra. I still think that it is an overrated card. It is useful, but I feel that one or two copies is okay, not necessarily three. Overall the debate between you and Blue was interesting. I do use Cy Dra, and I still try to be original. Thanks for all the info. I am glad that you wrote this to educate me on a few things i had not thought about when it came to Cy dra. I think that the main problem have with Cy Dra(or any other monster card) being called a staple is that it is not necessary for every deck. Spell and Traps are a little easier to classify as a staple. Monsters are always going to be based on opinions, and that will keep this debate going.
