No. I think you got it backward. He was asked if the Mad Cat IV was WIE. Then gave his answer.
So it isn't WIE. But given his answer, it probably isn't Clan Wolf either. It is a new faction. I would probably take out the Comguards as well or any faction that existed in CBT.
Maybe Raven Alliance? Too inconsequential.
The rebel ROTS with the Senators?
I was thinking of a new unified neo-crusader hard core clan that joins Clan Wolf, Clan Hell's Horses, other clans and the Steel Wolves. But that's my opinion only.

Um, the Madcat IV in the picture could be for another faction, yet it could be a non unique, so Clan Wolf(or Exiled Wolves), could get one. It is guarenteed though that we will see a WiE mech. And, don't go there about the Hell's Horses Deadbolt. :p
Now, as to Kevin's comment in the ask Draddog thread on Wizkids, when asked to confirm that the gray and red mad cat IV was Clan Wolf, he said "I can confirm it's NOT them. It's a new faction. Not an old faction."
Here's my speculation since Kevin seems to have squashed Clan Wolf on that one. I think it might be the Senator's and Nobles who have rebelled against the Exarch and the Knights such as those forces led by Connor Rhys-Monroe. This happened in Sword of Sedition and seems will be continued in Fortress Republic.
Any other guesses?
Well, you asked for it....it's a little bit out there but.....Clan Steel Viper :p
Just wanted to get direwolf1990 worked up :p It's probably just the Steel Wolves making their return to the game with a better looking paint scheme. ;)
Anubis *was* a capellan mech...you know, back in 3060. SEVENTY FRICKIN' YEARS AGO!
Now, like most other faction associated mechs back then, its probably been populated out a bit. Kinda like American and Russian military technology did in the cold war after 5-10 years or so.
I like the jumping sculpt, I think. I doubt it's a vtol mech, though...if you look, there doesn't seem to be any way to attach that pole to the base. It must be glued on, so there's no means of representing NOE and cruising...I suspect it's just for looks.

If any of you play Heroclix, you'd know Wizkids has been doing these 'action stands' for over a year now (little clear bits to make various heroclix characters look like they're jumping or fighting).
That's all the stand is on the Mech. A way to get more action onto the base. Making a jump-jet capable mech look like it's jumping.

I wouldn't mind it being Steelwolves. But I would prefer Clan Wolf. Everybody seems to be trying to get me worked up on the Realms these days. :p
With all the mechy goodness to get us interested, I think (along with quite a few posts here that I've read) the coolant truck is the best :). And the mid-jump mech thingy comes a close second. We need more of that, but without the VTOL-scare.
And Kotch, it's easier than taking candy from a baby. Whisper/mutter the 'M' word, and you'll have him all over you.....
Guys, look at the scale of the sculpt on the "VTOL mech" relative to the dial. If it's on a mech base, the sculpt would be as large as a heavy mech, which it certainly doesn't look to be. My guess is that it's on an infantry base, almost certainly making it a protomech!
Yes, there's no stand for raising/lowering, but it could just be because it's a pre-production prototype. We'll see, I suppose.
Someone already stated in another thread that this directly matches a Clan Hell's Horses unit's paint scheme, although they aren't new to the universe, they don't have any sort of current representation.

Hm............But if this true, how come they release their Faction before they have "The Exclusive Limited Mech Thinggy".

Compare it to the Anubis right beside it and you will see it is the exact same size base and the mech looks to be about the same size as the Anubis (light maybe a small medium mech). The mech was shrunk in the other picture (the one with the Liao mech).
Maybe we could see Kanga, hover tank with jump jets  .
I wouldn't bet on it. But then again, we thought we'd never an invisible Mech in the game and look what we got. A Raptor II with Dave Rees as pilot. Who would've thought it possible?
