Milligan had this moment of genius on Shade: The Changing Man, but I haven't liked any of his subsequent work. Everyone should read Shade by the way (especially if you're a Bacchalo fan).
I didn't like Allred on his own indy book. I definitely don't buy his kindergarden drawings in another. Has anyone noticed when you look at all of the figures' eyes, that they all look like corpses? Where's the expression?
I'm the biggest Moon Knight fan ever! Someone had the UserID before I got here. The bum (just kidding).
But if he got turned into a mutant, that would be the last straw indeed!
I quit the X-Books back when they cancelled The Punisher books, because you couldn't make a cartoon with Frank.
I only came back with Xtreme, because I followed Claremont and Larroca over from FF (an excellent run by the way). I follow Larroca everywhere. The only other artist I do that with is John Byrne.
Ive always liked x-force/statix it cool and far more origional than having another x-men title in its place
I bought new x-men e is for extinction; i thought it was tolerable. But morrisons arrogance brought the title doen a notch; he thinks he's chris claremont! Morrison came in with a heap of high minded ideas to turn the book aaround and just kept it pretty much the same. Riot at xaviers was cool. Sice there all x-men titles a dipping a little.
I was incredibly impressed with NYX. A tribute to what attention to character building can and has done throughout literary history. Some comics have become like Hollywood films in the "bad" sense. All special effects action with nothing in between.
Out of the guys still working for Marvel, I would pick Frank Tieri and Sean Chen to do MOON KNIGHT. These guys turned Wolverine around in his own book. That means they can handle anything.
Unfortunately Greg Rucka is lost to DC land for a while.
My other choice would be Bendis and Maleev after their run on DD.
NYX is about kids on the streets of New York struggling to survive. It mostly follows one girl as she discovers she's a mutant. Instead of helping the situation, it only makes things worse.
Great writing from Quesada, and aesome art by Middelston.
I can only describe it as The Shield (TV show) meets X-Men. It is incredibly hard core, but not for the sake of shock value. It is done for the sake of realism of these characters' lives.
It's only three issues in, and most stores ordered enough to go around. The first six issue story is already scheduled for a TP as soon as the tale is finished.
so all the x books suck, but they are so popular to churn movies?, weird, i agree some of the last story arcs have been bad, but nothing like the sotry arcs of the 90s thank god that decade ended.
oh and it's true you know, it's not like marvel is gonna hunt you down if you don't buy their x books.

DTM: A Mother has 2 children. She gives one child some ice cream, and the other None. The child without any ice cream gets upset and starts to complain. The child with the ice cream starts calling him a baby and tells him to Shut Up!. Interesting

No, not weird again the movies were just vehicles for wolverine and the x-men were his supporting characters.....
Not to jump on comic movies but since you brought them up remember these few
-Barb Wire
-First Punisher
-TMNT
-Vampirella
-Batman and Robin
-League of Extordinary gentlemen
-The first x-men movie
-Superman 3&4
-Supergirl
What do all of these movies have in common.....
First of all they all sucked, second they were just hollywood movie version of comic books, with no inspiration of the original great idea.
Besides best selling does not always mean it is the best, and with the X-books its fact.
Help!! I am under attack by the culture of life!! Send Zombies!!!
