I'm not sure if they use a preset filter or the site admins choose the words put on the list.

My friends and I have an MMO guild that allows for message boards and it was quite fun to come up with the 'replacement' terms when someone said something 'off-color'.

Something along the lines of "that guy is a mother ****** " would become "that guy is a I like to use bad words, and that makes my mom sad."

I know you weren't asking me, but, personally, I'm anti-censorship.

I just have to say that I've never laughed quite as hard at any thread as I have this one...and I'm trying not to get weird looks from my co-workers as I snicker and try so hard not to just burst out laughing.

Oh, and speaking of bad names, can't we find an actual GOOD NAME for decks like Checkmate/VU and X-Statix/VU? Look, Villains aren't above the law of getting names over their teamstamps.

That being said, I have no suggestions for Checkmate/VU. However, Evil Static sounds fun enough. In any case, it beats Chicken Supreme.

No, I don't think they should automatically be filtered. I think that's ########. That gets filtered too and I think THAT'S ########. I don't think _any_ words should be filtered but understand the necessity of the F-word, S-word and C-word to be censored... Everything else I don't think is offensive enough to enough people to be automatically kill filed. You yourself said you weren't offended.

Therefore when it IS used in a fashion which is offensive and is MEANT to be offensive, like you did in that thread... And it gets deleted... I don't think there is a need for any further change. The moderation staff obviously have a ####ing handle on things.

No, it's not a name. The deck is called "X-Stall," I don't know what's so hard about that. You don't see us calling it FTN Squad just because Vidi won PCATL with it, or TAWC Checkvillains because Tim batow top 8'd San Fran with it. I mean, really.

However, if I ever top 8 with a deck I'm going to call it GVL [deck name] and see if it catches on.

No, the deck is called TDC Stall. No one, before you, that I've seen, has ever called it X-Stall. I thought it ran a pretty different card set and end game than X-Stall. Dr. Light plus Puppet Master plus Ivy to activate Puppet Master like 4-5 times by himself. No Rogue needed.
