i say ban her, but would the ppl of this thread like to see her banned for silver or ban her in general?
I think it's simpler and safer just to ban her in general. Political Pressure shouldn't become a must-play in Golden just to deal with decks like these.
And I think I have to second the call for the banhammer on Attend or Die! So long as there are free characters with discard costs, it's simply too easy to break.
This is amusing to me cuz one of the decks we're working on would utterly destroy this deck. Your engine actually assists our engine.
But that said, yeah, Frankie is pretty bad. She needs to say "When Frankie Raye comes into play, you cannot recruit characters named Frankie Raye this turn."
Thats nothing I got owned by a deck that went off on ther turn 4. NEGA BOOM there whole deck drawn out to there hand via 0 drop charactors like haywire +Frakie + Strange + STTG + piosion Ivy + dead shoot + kree press Charactors . He recruted 15 Charactors Via Frankie 13 times turn 4 than 2 drop kree with press another 2 drop kree with press and 3 drop kree press to make 16 recrutes on There turn 4 play nega boom for free that end game right there . So ya I don't think she needs to be banned I think a simple eriata of ONCE PER TURN FREE RECRUTE is fine.
O.K. everyone, I got the go-ahead with revealing A version of the stupid frankie raye deck. Keep in mind this deck doesn't use Nega-Bomb to win... but other cards that count the number of recruits you made in a turn. Your kill turn is 4, you have a contingency for 5.

It is incredibly easy to recruit 13+ characters on turn 3 with this deck if one desired to do so.
I keep going back between a 2nd minerva and a sorcerer's treasure

P.S. attend or die should not be errata'd to say cards put into the pile are to be removed instead from any zone as that would change the intended function of the card. They should ban attend or die, and make a new card to replace it that says when a card is put into the pile from ANY zone it is removed instead and also should have a limit to the number of characters you many recruit in this way.
and yes, I am saying attend or die needs to be banned cause it's gonna cause problems in the future... it's not hard to deck out even with frankie raye banned (evasion 1 drops w/mind gem are an example; mind you not as fast as frankie enables). All you need is free characters and something that keys off the number of characters you recruit in a turn.
I just wanted to show the R&D does see the potential for abuse in many of the cards they design and in some cases lets them slide in order to "push the envelope" for Vs.

The YMG revelation shows that the Nega-Bomb deck isn't necessarily the most concerning abuse of Frankie. For every deck that's revealed by teams, there are usually many many more better ones in the wings. Frankie Raye is obviously going to be abused at the PC even more, and that's not going to help anyone.
As much as I'd like to see Frankie go, this is one situation where I'd like to see UDE have to "face the music" in regards to their R & D's card design. Let PC Sydney break down into coin flips and total degeneration. An attendence of, say, less than 100 players will teach them something (hopefully).
The problems with Frankie have been pointed out almost since the Heralds Prerelease. "Pushing the envelope" is not a good enough reason to print abusable, nay, degenerate cards that will wind up as useless cardboard as soon as the format changes.

Why let it get to that point? If it can be demonstrated that the format is broken, what reason is there to let it continue and ruin a PC? UDE's players are going to get a lot more excited about an interesting and varied metagame than they are a combo winter, and promotion of the game is what the PC is all about.
PCLA 06 turned out fine after several cards were banned. Most of the players said it was one of the best PCs of the year. It seems like it'd be better for the game to go ahead and ban Frankie (and maybe Attend or Die) and have another good PC.
