We are indeed restructuring our PCQ program (basically eliminating them as they are, at least for this year).
The OP announcement is done and is in editing. I'm the reason it's late since I was constantly making small additions and wording adjustments to be as clear as possible. I assume it will be up between 5-6pm tonight (Pacific). There is some good news and some bad news, but generally it lays out the plan of how we're going to keep Vs. System strong for years to come.

This answers one question. As long as we have some type of qualifer I will be happy. Just don't kill sealed events.:(
Kevin, seriously. I don't get this disappointed very often, but you are a mess today. You told me something about steel-toed boots, remember?
Take a deep breath, go back and look at your recent posts. They are so exaggerated that you look not only angry and irrational... but rather foolish.
I'd ask you to show me a single instance where I exaggerated something, but given that on your scale, OBJECTIVE translates into ANGRY AND IRRATIONAL, it would be quite pointless. Please return to your Kool Aid and never mind me.
agreed. i wish there were more sealed PCQ's. i hate constructed outside of hobby league (which our group is trying to make less top8 centred), but LOVE doing sealed. need more practice with draft though. :) went 6-0 in a sealed hog PCQ then scrubbed out immediately in the draft portion. oh wells. gonna be a long wait till 6pm.

Aside from all the SCREAMING, I see your point. Thanks for proving mine.

The good news had better be REAL good, or you can kiss your player base goodbye. And before anyone jumps on my ### about that statement, here's why.
PCQ's, whether you're a competative person or not, are an oppurtunity to play VS outside of your normal playgroup. If PCQ's are eliminated, then I would hope that UDE provides the players with something other than City Championships. It is only a good thing when you give players a reason to get together in larger groups to play a game they enjoy. Hobby League does not provide much of a reason to do this.
The reason I am pointing this out is that we here in the NH Seacoast area(halfway between Boston & Portland, ME) won't have VS City Championships in our area because it is the same weekend as MTG City Champs. MTG will make a LOT more money for the store owner, so he is going with MTG. Is anyone else having this issue?
I almost forgot to vote for Guzzling Mephisto! Joe Jusko is one of my all time favorite fantasy/comic artists, and he provided us with a MASTERPIECe of Vs art in this set!
I'm fine with Donias' statement as of this moment, just as long as they have something to replace it with, so non-qualified players can get thier PC points.
In my area there are no places to really play the game at, besides the kitchen table(which has been Big Deck only as of late), but that hasn't been UDE's fault. It has been our lazy-### store owners' faults, who won't promote the game, or even show any interest in anything new.
Due to this the only time that we(a small group of 3-4) actually get to play different people are at PCQ's in Cincy, Columbus, or Lexington which are a 2-3.5 hour drive. This puts going to HL out of the question in any of those cities.
What I'm trying to say here is that PCQ's are what helped the game from becoming stagnant to me, and that is what I (more like the all the money and time that I've invested into the game) want to prevent from happening. And I know that there are many others out there who feel the same way.
And by the way, Thanos Squeezing is the best.
One thing that isn't in our announcement, but is very imporant, is the demo team and tournament organizer system which is being upgraded across all UDE products.
This should greatly help the local tournament scene.
