Just got an update from Spooky. He is 2-0 (and well on his way to my prediction).

First Round--He played MKKO, and it was a close match he said because opponent was playing Echo and Punisher for stun back effects. On turn 6, he was able to exhaust his 5 drop hulk to exhaust the 4 and then re-recruit the 5 drop to stun MKKO's 5 drop, leaving just Wolverine and Blade to do lethal damage, which they could not.

Second Round--He played mono JLA and it was a pretty easy match up. Hit preferred curve and Mastermind Excellio swung directly on turn 5 with the help of two Trouble With Dinosaurs.

I'm still gonna root for KingofHeartzzz. To me he represents the next generation of VS players that this game needs to begin to cultivate to be succesful. He is hobbled only by his love of the characters he chooses to play. He and his crew have brought a lot to the local scene in the last several months and I hope he does well in Worlds.

Whats weird is that Kurt didn't even finish in the Top 4 of our Modern tournament on Tuesday with the same deck. He must be really dialed in right now.

2 guys i know and used to play with a lot @ tourneys in WA are in the top8 with that deck.

i'm personally hoping for Brian Eugenio and that sniper shot deck...i'd like to see something off the beaten path win the whole thing..
