I've come to the conclusion that Cuba is intentionally stirring this up, because there's no way someone with his experience can miss the difference between "good card you need to tech around" and "broken loop that turns the meta into 'play it or play against it'".
I'm not. I just honestly don't think that it matters in the grand scheme of things.
Is your HL that cut-throat that the week you play Golden everyone will show up with this deck?

Um, the local Hobby League here ALWAYS plays Golden Age when they have it, no one else likes playing anything but Golden. And I still have hopes that one day a straight forward Golden Age tournament will be sanctioned. lol...Fingers crossed.

While I am as worried about broken combos as much as the next guy, there are a few things to consider...
This combo is believed to be able to go off on turn 3. This is assuming there is a 2-drop with Energize. Well, maybe there won't be. Energize seems like a very powerful effect, so perhaps they will be reserving it for characters with a cost 5 or greater. That gives players plenty of time to work up a viable defense to this combo. Also, this combo is based on a quick explanation of Energize. There may be much more to it than we are aware. There may be a rule that Energize characters are not able to be equipped. (Just like hidden characters were back in the day.) There may be a rule that Energize characters can only use their printed activation effects. Maybe Energize can only trigger once per turn? It may also be that there will be a few common plot twists that cancel the effects of Energize for a turn.
All I'm saying is that we should wait for the rest of the set and an FAQ before we decide to torch Armed Escorts.
Well, it's funny how new keywords take a relatively useless card (a card that would RARELY be splashed into a deck) to a pretty great card to use with Energize, but hey, that's me.
I didn't have time to read the whole thread, but... instead of messing with or changing past cards, why not just say "Energize only triggers once per turn"
It's a new Keyword. and it fixes a lot of reready effects over and over.
